Tondrek made a face. It appeared to be a scrunched up frown, but the low sound that came from him probably meant he was not happy. Or angry. Or had something bad for lunch, but any who had seen him devour bowl after bowl of thick, spicy, Marcher food would discount that. With a small, three-part whistle, he called his construct forward, Doggie's jaws snapping at the little lizard. The construct ducked under the wizard's arm and grabed the kobold full on with its teeth, shaking its iron head side to side like it was playing tug-rope. If indeed the kobold is down, Roswyn will instead try a Heal check on Shava to stabilize her. (Sorry Mal, Shava is Roswyn's friend... you still have a few rounds of saves left... and Roswyn has little chance of success anyhow... )

Indeed, did not make it: Heal check on Shava (DC 15) (1d20+2=12) If we are out of combat Roswyn is probably better off trying to Aid Another someone else's check.

Here's two versions of fluff text depending on which course of action happens...[/sblock]

Roswyn stares at the enemy wizard, who is somehow still managing to stay standing after Doggie and Tondrek's assault. She calms her emotions, pushing the image of Shava's crumpled form from her mind, and gathers arcane power. She concentrates, and the wizard feels his breath freeze in his lungs, choking him and keeping him from drawing in any more air.

The construct ducked under the wizard's arm and grabed the kobold full on with its teeth, shaking its iron head side to side like it was playing tug-rope. The kobold wails and goes limp.

Roswyn rushes forward, kneeling by Shava's side before the wizard's body has hit the floor. "Hang on, you big Lyrandar fool..." she gasps out as she presses her hands to Shava's chest, trying futilely to stop the slow seep of blood from the acid burns.

As Doggie rushes forward, Tondrek raises his staff with all intent to follow the construct... but then the wizard collapses. Flushes and breathing heavy from all the excitement and bad people doing stuff, the half-orc doesn't even catch his breath before trudging over to the fallen dwarf. He looks over Brenon's burns and such and takes out a slightly luminescent paste that smells, well, pretty bad. He rubs it over a few places, muttering softly about "....stupid bad burning kobold dead-not-dead things..." but seems pleased with his work and pats the dwarf on the head. You be okay, Thrifty Man. Nap time over, 'k?

He then trundles over next to Talky Gnome and Sparky Lady. Seeing the flowing blood and the magical burns, Tondrek angrily rubs on the stinky paste. Shava might complain later, but the result is instant as she stabilizes.

Tondrek then stands and cracks his back with an audible POP combined with the jangling of all his gear. Retreiving his crossbow, he looks at the others and catches some deep, rattled breaths. Anyone want to help me make more healy stuff? Won't hurt, promise! While the others rest and ponder, Tondrek pats down the big kobolds, looking for magical trinkets while keeping them unarmed.

OOC: Heal 23, Heal 29. Note that Brenon gets to make 1 death save and Shava 2 before Tondrek gets there (unless someone stabilizes her first). Tondrek needs volunteers to give up HS to replenish his infusions. Tondrek himself will spend one to regain 13hp at the end of this rest (giving him 47/53, and 4/10 HS). He'll search the bodies and attune to magical auras: Passive Arcana 26.

Shava sis up with a start, and screams out, "Elec!" before half swooning again and leaning on Roswyn for support. She looks around, breathing heavily, and takes in the situation. She remembers where she is and what happened but something seems out of place.

"Why does it smell like fish and bird droppings?" She looks down at her clothes, paste smeared through the tears and burns of her outfit, and quickly buttons up the top of her blouse. She calls on her stores of endurance, and pushes herself up to standing.

"Well I suppose I needed new clothes regardless. Have we learned anything since I was out? Those were not you're average kobold thugs." Not waiting for an answer, she begins scanning the area and looking over the bodies herself.

With the kobolds dropped Tamarand rushes over to the fallen half-elf, then sees the many wounds. Having an extensive experience with these type of injuries, or at least the magic behind them, the drow quite adeptly stops the bleeding. With the wounds stopped, Tamarand smiled to himself as he awaited Shava to awake, just so he could point out exactly who it was that saved her from bleeding out.
