On the boat

Wil aids Hergunna in the ritual. This will make our day more effective, whatever comes.

When they arrive

Wil looks out at the town puzzled. After listening to the captain and his fellows he nods. It seems that we are hunting, but for what no one can say. He tries to move silently down towards to dock, but his armor rattles as he keeps to the sides of buildings and moves up the stairs nearby.

[sblock=OOC] We could use the ritual, especially since everyone is moving quickly for stealth (-5 normally) so this should cancel that out. We can always buy components with party funds.

"Ok, Kane show you he is quietest everyones be careful, it's quiet....too quiet." the bugbear says, taking out his large waraxe, his treasure from the dragon battle. He quickly moves across the open area and begins moving up the stairs, trying his best to move without making the wood groan in protest to his heavy weight.

Seeing Wil in front of him Kane whispers, "Ok musicman, stay behind Kane, there might be more dragon's that eat us here"

[sblock=Ritual]Ok, I didn't roll for the ritual because others just started moving ashore immediately. Assuming it's not too late, here's a roll:

Nature check (for ritual) (1d20+11=27) That grants +5 to Stealth.

As for the -5 for moving more than 2 squares, that's true but I'm not sure if Tenchuu wants to apply it, since combat hasn't really started (I don't think). Out-of-combat stealth can be a little looser at the DM's option... it could be that we're all just moving slower and taking longer to get to our destinations.

Let's also keep in mind, we're unlikely to completely surprise anyone, as the first mate already whistled loudly on arrival. This is more about maneuvering for tactical advantage. [/sblock]

Wil and Hergunna looked around, and spotted an orange cloth hanging out one of the closed windows in the harbor building.

Carolina peered into the warehouse doors. Inside it was very dark; no light source except the light from the open door. It also appeared to be mostly empty.

As they proceeded, the adventurers were somewhat startled as the silence was broken by a nearby barking dog. It barked aggressively, like when trying to scare something away.

Kruk moves forward up the stairs and heads toward the sound of the barking dog. "This is probably a trap, but I'm a sucker for them. I'll try my best to be quiet!" Kruk chuckles and then moves foward with battleaxe and shield out, ready to strike if necessary.

[sblock=gridlines]Oops. That's the second screw up. The first time I posted the map, it showed all the enemies! If you do a refresh, you should see an updated version of the map with gridlines. The zoom level will be different though; Maptool doesn't save the zoom level when you close it.[/sblock][sblock=dimsdale]

1) How high up is the cliff that the stairs lead up? Just curious the athletics DC should Kane decide to climb.

2) Are there any windows on this side of teh house? If so, what location(s). Any on the second floor (if a second storey) [/sblock]

A: Ten feet high

2) Are there any windows on this side of teh house? If so, what location(s). Any on the second floor (if a second storey)
A: 2-story house. 3 windows per level on the south side. 1 window per level no the east and west sides.
