The lift comes to a stop and immediately the side of the metal lift opposite the opening lifts out of the way, revealing a long, wet tunnel. Alcoves with ancient stone statues line the way and lanterns flicker along the tunnel.

As you step out of the lift, an echoing metallic roar emanates from the the far end of the tunnel where it opens into some larger room. A huge black metal construct with a massive crystal anchored on its back appears at the end of the tunnel. As you watch, the crystal flickers and turns gray, though it has a faint tinge of red to it.

[sblock=Arcana 15]Based off your battles with the other constructs, you sense that the color of the crystal has something to do with its damage type, resistance, and vulnerability.[sblock=Arcana 20]It is currently resistant to thunder and vulnerable to fire.[/sblock][/sblock]

The giant construct twists to get through a narrow section of tunnel, the gem on its back flicker and changing color, now deep green with a hint of blue. As it nears, the gem begins to glow, the surface of the construct begins to run with currents of green energy, and twin green blasts out from its surface towards RAM TIGER, one hitting the wall, the other lacing into the gnoll.

Shrakk takes the initiative and opens hostilities with a big swing of his weapon.

After taking another bolt to the face, the gnoll flies into a fury. While the construct is distracted by Shrakk, RAM TIGER charges recklessly in between the creature's legs, leaps up and rakes the constructs back with both of his claws while biting at its neck.

---

The construct stomps on RAM TIGER as he runs between its legs, then, as the gnoll attacks, the gem on its back flickers to a darker shade of green tinged with black and unleashes bolts of acid against everyone in the party, missing everyone and drawing another swing of Shrakk's sword that puts a huge dent in the construct, though acid spatters onto Shrakk as he does so.

The gem on its back cycles again, turning a dull gray tinged with purple as the massive construct turns on RAM TIGER and punches the gnoll into the ground with its massive fist leaving the gnoll cratered into the rock. It then turns and fires darts at Shrakk and Kasha, one nicking Shrakk, the other deflecting off the wall right in front of Kasha's face. Finally, it's arm swings out towards Shrakk's head, causing the Avenger to duck right into its kick.

A second later, 6 more constructs move up behind the big construct. These ones look similar to the ones on the beach, though these look new-built rather than rusted and weathered.

[sblock=OA vs RAM TIGER]Attack: 21 Reflex, hit, for 12 poison damage. RAM TIGER's attack also does 2 extra damage since he's bloodied.[/sblock]

[sblock=When Bloodied by RAM TIGER]Crystal Overcharge: 7 Fort vs RAM TIGER, miss, 11 Will vs Shrakk, miss, 13(11 due to cover) Will vs Kasha, miss. Shrakk gets an OA: 2d20+2+2=19 AC, hit, for 13 damage. The Constructs Aura blasts Shrakk when he makes the OA, dealing 2 Acid damage to him.[/sblock]

[sblock=OAs vs Construct]I'm going to assume you are willing to take OAs vs the construct despite the damage you take for doing so (it's not fixed at 2, it's rolled) unless you let me know otherwise.[/sblock]

[sblock=Enemy Actions]Massive Crystal Construct: Slam: 19 Reflex vs RAM TIGER, hit, for 10 damage. Crystal Overcharge: 17 Reflex vs Shrakk, hit for 4 damage, 17(15 due to cover) Reflex vs Kasha, miss. 2nd Slam: 21 Will vs Shrakk, 10 damage.[/sblock]

[sblock=Combatants]RAM TIGER: H22, 31 damage taken, bloodied, dying, unconscious
Kasha: J16
Shrakk: G19, 16 damage taken, bloodied

Massive Crystal Construct
: G20, AC 16, 52 damage taken, bloodied, Aura: take damage if make OAs vs the Construct.
New Forged Construct 1: G24
New Forged Construct 2: H24
New Forged Construct 3: I24
New Forged Construct 4: G25
New Forged Construct 5: H25

[sblock=OOC]I know some of you have said that weekends aren't good for you and there's only 3 of you. So, we'll just set a general rule that I'll wait until 2 of you have posted for a round(unless you all post within 48hrs) before I run the next combat round. Sound like a plan?[/sblock]

Kasha grimaces at the savage beating being dished out to her allies, though not without a certain relief that it was them rather than her. She hesitates for a moment, wondering what kind of horrible backlash might be unleashed when the giant construct is felled - all the more so since RAM TIGER looks to be seriously wounded and in no fit condition whatsoever to weather an explosion at pointblank range. Still, her pause is brief; as bad as the gem explosion from this giant might be, she's quite certain that it can't be worse than what it and all its buddies will do to them if it isn't taken out.

Seeing the window of opportunity for decisive action closing fast, she dashes headlong into the fray with an all-out leaping downslash of her sword that aims to cleave straight through the construct's head and finish it off before it ever has the chance to recover its balance from its attack on Shrakk.

[sblock=OOC]Move to H19

Clever Strike on the big construct: 1d20+9=25 (+2 from combat advantage was forgotten on dice roller)
Damage 1d8+5=10 (+1 from being adjacent to Shrakk was forgotten on dice roller).
Sneak Attack Damage: 2d6+3=5
I'll use Furious Assault on that hit too - Damage: 1d8=4
Total damage = 19.

Also, an important note - depending on how this action pans out, I might well want to spend my Action Point for another action this round. Is that going to be okay? I can't really commit to posting that second action now without knowing whether this attack will drop the construct or what the fight will look like after its death if it does.[/sblock]
