Anathos watched the sand warily as they headed for shade.......it was not that he feard the spider, there were more terrible things in Qua'zecx Zoar'Ysh, (the Great green Hell in the trade tounge) no, but it wasThey that lurk beneath that he feared. The elders use to sing about them, how they use to be like his kin, lovers of the day star & singers to the great eye of the night. They would sing how their flesh hid the dreadful spirit within, how, when they were struck down, they nearly destroyed the world in their anger of being beaten....yes, that was what the elders said, but, like the other young kin, Anathos believed they were stories that were meant to make the children behave & not go where they should.....not go where they should.... . Anathos, with an odd shiver, brings his mind back to the present.....watching the sand....
