[MENTION=23484]Kobold Stew[/MENTION], which deity does Spec worship? I didn't see it on his sheet (but I think there was a discussion in the IC a long while ago?).[/ooc]
I think Spec worships Farlanghan, who is a Greyhawk god. I've always liked to think that Spec is a planar displaced cleric.[/OOC]

That's right! Spec worships Farlanghan, and it may be that if he ever leaves this dungeon, he will realize that he is not in the universe he thought he was! (What colour are the skies here? The same as Greyhawk? I bet not...

(So far, though, Cleric spells work; that all Father Spec knows.)

Guran calls to the others who are still in the room with the moving sarcophagus, "One severed hand moving your way along the ceiling!"

The dwarf otherwise ignores the ceiling-traveling hand.
Still holding his torch aloft, he draws his second handaxe and makes a melee attack against one of the hands attacking Roscoe. Of the two that are on the halfling, Guran attacks either the one that dealt the damage, or the one that landed on Roscoe but missed (priority to the former). In either case, Guran aims his attack to pass nearly parallel to the surface of Roscoe's body, in order that his follow-through not hit his ally.

Father Spec continues to help Colden pull Fulgrim up. If he's up last round and appears safe, he will call down sacred flames on the nearest opponent he can see skittering about.

OOC: So if Fulgrim is out of the trap, dex save or [roll0] damage. Otherwise, advantage for whatever Colden is doing.

ROUND 2

Initiative:
Roscoe 22
Spec 15
Guran 12
Hands 12
Colden 6
Creatures 5
Fulgrim 4

Roscoe slashed at Hand 1 and squished it. Guran held aloft his lit torch, drew another handaxe, and attacked Hand 2. The hand was affixed to Roscoe's shin, so Guran had difficulty seeing the hand, but his aim was true enough that he was able to shave the clawed hand off Roscoe and smash it to bits.

Hand 3 scrabbled up from where it landed on the floor and clawed at Guran but missed. Hand 4 skittered along the ceiling into the sarcophagus room and dropped on top of Spec; Hand 4 landed on Spec's head and dealt 5 points of damage. Spec responded by calling down sacred flames on the creature atop his head, but perhaps the angle was too poor...the hand jumped out of the way and landed unharmed on the sarcophagus lid.

Colden waited for Fulgrim to grab the rope. Down in the pool, Fulgrim mentally directed the ghostly mage hand to continue its grip on the rope and to bring the rope to him at the rock ledge. The hand didn't move particularly quickly, but it was able to get to him within a few moments. Fulgrim grabbed hold of the rope. As soon as he did, Colden felt the new tension on the line and commenced hauling on his end of the rope. Spec wasn't available to help--having had to fend off an attack--but Colden was able to haul Fulgrim through the pool of water.

Fulgrim didn't need to swim--someone up top was pulling mightily on their end of the rope--and he moved through the water at a good clip. As he passed beneath the stalactites lining the ceiling, however, three of them shifted and moved, then fell from the ceiling, their pointed tips elongating into fangs and teeth. All three missed. The creature with the large green pincer made an appearance. Fulgrim saw it lift its maw from beneath the water. It was large and had queer brown tentacles hanging from its mouth. A second smaller pincer appeared as well. The creature used the smaller pincer as ballast and attacked the dwarf mage with the large pincer. Fulgrim reacted by instinct, casting shield, which resulted in the pincer missing. Whoever it was who had hold of the rope up top was strong; Fulgrim found himself back in the five-foot cubbyhole of water, 15' directly beneath the open hole.

OOC: Hand 2 had half cover from Guran's attack on Round 2. Hands 1, 3, and 4 did not have half cover for Round 2. Spec cast sacred flames. Fulgrim cast shield.

Father Spec did not react well to the creature landing on his head, and his own shriek distracted him from the assistance he was trying to give. He frantically brushed the hand off his head, and it doing so felt it take a section of flesh with it. Blood began to run down his forehead, momentarily caught in his moustache, pausing in its mourning down to the paving stones by the sarcophagus.

The flames he had summoned had not hit their mark, and so he tried again, calling down more flames on the skittering demon-fist on top of the sarcophagus.

OOC: Dex save DC 13 or [roll0] damage.
