The dagger flashes as Pier again sketches runes in the air. The two orcs headed for the cart dive headlong into another burst of fire. With luck, Pier thinks, that will be hot enough to hurt the one inside the wagon, too.

Weel Naxel, human artificer

Weel's javelin hovers in the air next to him, and the artificer nods.

"Good idea, Bytsab. Teach him like we did that other big, mean orc back home."

The javelin flies across the clearing, its surface taking on a wet sheen. It slices its way through the side of the orc threatening Vatan, and the creature's armor hisses with the acid that coats the enchanted weapon as it flies back to its owner.

[sblock=actions]Stadard: Scouring Weapon vs. Orc 5

Encounter * Standard
Melee or Ranged Weapon
Keywords: Acid, Arcane, Weapon
Attack: Int vs. AC
Hit: 2[W] + Int Modifier acid damage, and the target takes a -2 penalty to AC until the end of your next turn.

Looks like a hit. Depending your reading of Punishing Eye, there may be an additional 4 psychic damage. PE says 'ally,' but I'm not clear if the caster counts as an ally, or the power would have needed to say 'you or an ally.' [/sblock]

Vatan roars with glee when he sees a new target coming in to him. After the beast hits, he laughs and bellows "T'will take more than that a'fore I be leavin' ye bilge rat bastards t'be runnin' loose here'bouts. Have at ye!!" He will follow that by swinging his sword low and axe high at Orc 5 hitting him hard with both.

Gah.. I am the lazy one. Honestly, I thought I was waiting on someone else for some reason. Must be my other game. I'll try to get to it all this weekend. Thanks for the bump!

Aridha's boar form charges an orc and rips a large gash in its flesh. Somehow the orc survives the attack, and even answers with a devastating assault of its own, opening a similar gash into the boar.

Druthruss gets a feel for his new crossbow as he one-shots another of the vile orcs.

Weel and Vatan team up on an orc and bring it down with relative ease as Pier blasts the orcs surrounding one of the wagons. The cowardly orc inside stumbles out of the burning wagon cursing, and locks eyes with Vatan and his bloody grin. The orc holds up a crooked staff and chants something incoherent. Vatan can feel the orc's vile magic swarming over him, but the experienced warrior fights through and is unaffected.

Druthruss is rather enjoying this shooting gallery. And just like that an orc mage dashes out and looks at Vatan. Hardly being able to contain himself the cross bow comes up he eyes down the sights and picks a point between his shoulder blades.

[sblock]
Attempt a trick strike. No move. Reload as minor. ToHit not including any CA.

If I have this right. Its a 3[W] damage effect vs AC. Then add 5 for the wpn and dex. Also 2d6 for the sneak damage assuming he has not seen me yet. Also, I get to move him one square (closer to me/the center of the glade). And there is punishing eye to add as well... :)

Pier curses under his breath when he realizes that he may have just undone what the group set out to accomplish. He dashes across the clearing to the burning wagon and starts cutting away the burning canvas with his dagger, hoping to save the town's remaining supplies.

[sblock]
Move + Standard: Move to wagon—using my judgement to determine where the most effective place to stand will be to get the canvas off as quickly as possible. Hopefully the supplies themselves are not burning also.

Minor: Cut the ties holding the canvas cover down.

Since I'm breaking cover and exposing myself to the enemy, I'll be ready to Shield also. If I'm hit by an attack that targets AC or Reflex, assume that I cast it.

Shield
No rolls required
Immediate Interrupt
Trigger: You are hit by an attack

Effect: +4 power bonus to AC and Reflex until end of next turn.

Spotting the shaman running from the cart, then the flames beginning to appear from it, Vatan lets out a cry of anger... "By the blistering :):):):) of the Sea Hag, ye be roastin' in a fiery hell for that, ye pox ridden cur!!" Then spotting the mage running for the wagon, he quickly slashes any ropes he can see that might be holding the canvas down. He then gives chase to the Orc caster, swinging both sword and axe.

[sblock=Actions]
Standard = slash the ropes on his side of the wagon
AP
Move to H6 (unless Druthruss has already killed the caster, in which case it will be to H8)
Standard = BMA vs the Orc he is beside

Weel Naxel, human artificer

Weel 'ooohs' audibly as the fire flares up, then shakes his head as the decorated stick in his hand begins to spark.

Yes, yes, show your fire, too!" he says, and a bolt of electricity arcs across the clearing to the orc threatening Aridha.
