The art was done by Erik Dechamps, who's done work for Paizo before. It's pretty good, although I did have some qualms about a few of the interpretations (I knew I should have sent in an illustration of the real opabinia).chaotix42 said:How is the artwork for the Horrors of the Daelkyr article? Rendered by anyone recognizable, or some new blood perhaps?
It's a pretty short sidebar - as you have no doubt noticed, the new statblock format plays havoc with the word count. As printed, it's missing my suggestion to make the various aberrations the minions of illithids, zern or another aberrant mastermind. Also, the xorbeast (an aberration) somehow got lumped in with the article's two outsiders into neutral evil planes or the Far Realm. Although xorbeasts are perfectly appropriate for the Far Realm, they should probably remain aberrations, albeit with the Extraplanar subtype.Razz said:Sounds neat, personally can't wait to see the sidebars for introducing them in other campaigns other than Eberron.
Razz said:Yeah come to think of it, you guys are right. Demogorgon won't be until the next Demonomicon.
As for Orcus...hmm...well James said it will get him in trouble and Malcanthet (or maybe Graz'zt cause he's a sexual demon prince too) seems to fit the bill.

There's an ad with a few t-shirt pictures on page 11.. if you mean Girl Genius, it's Phil Foglio. Cthulhu looks like Aaron Williams, but I'm only guessing. I couldn't begin to guess who made the last one.sckeener said:I have my issue...but anyone know who did the art on pg 11? I recognize the style, but can't place it.

I would model this as Wisdom damage, myself.Banshee16 said:In any case, a vampire that feeds on fear would be cool. I've tried figuring out how I'd generate mechanics for creatures that feed on different emotions or personality traits. Could you create a creature that feeds on greed, or on hate, or on love? What would happen to the food source if that emotional trait was drained?
