Shara looks a little surprised. "As you like, Magen, but I think I'm stopping off for a bit of wine. You're right that we shouldn't stay out too late, but I think we've earned this small comfort. No need to end up passed out on the tavern floor."

OOC: Did I miss something? I thought the goblins were all we had to do for the contract.

I'm up for doing one of the other jobs after our week of rest though, if they're still available. The rogue adventuring group or the mapping job.

OOC: Sorry, my poor memory, for some reason I thought we had to investigate the ruins as well. Struck that bit through on my original post.

Also, what was I writing, no drinks! I wrote that with a beer in my hand??

Hunter smiles as Shara mention the tavern, “I agree we have earned ourselves a little time away from work, and if we end up passed out on the tavern floor, well there are worse things that could happen."

"Well, let's try not to end up that way," Shara says with a laugh. "Are you sure you won't join us, Magen? It won't be a proper celebration of the Fellowship without you."

Magen Brigward, Fighter 2

"A drink or three won't be a problem I suppose, and if it is I have my good friends Edgar and Warian to clean up the mess." He says with a grin realising he doesn't carry the burden of command with this group.

Leaving the boarding house the heroes head past the main square into a collection of buildings that include both the Green Dragon Inn and the Flask and Scroll Tavern. Both appear to have a small crowd of half a dozen patrons within them, laughter and merriment spilling out into the early evening. If Hunter inquires, the owner of the Flask & Scroll is willing to let him play for drinks if the crowd approves of his music...

Walking into the Flask & Scroll Tavern, Hunter smiled feeling at home. After a brief talk with the owner Hunter found his way to the middle of the tavern. After a few bars on his pan flute Hunter smles widely and breaks into song.

Since there's so small difference 'twixt drowning and
drinking, We'll tipple and pray, too, like mariners
sinking; Whilst they drink salt water, we'll pledge 'em in
booze, And pay our devotion at Bacchus's shrine :
Oh ! Bacchus, great Bacchus, for ever defend us,
And plentiful store of good Bourbon send us.

From censuring the State, and what passes above, From a
surfeit of cabbage, from lawsuits and love, From meddling
with swords and such dangerous things, And handling of
bows in defiance of kings: Oh ! Bacchus, Great Bacchus for ever defend us,
And plentiful store of good Bourbon send us..

From riding a jade that will start at a feather, Or
ending a journey with loss of much leather ; From
the folly of dying for grief or despair, With our
heads in the water, our heels in the air : Oh !
Bacchus, Great Bacchus for ever defend us,
And plentiful store of good Bourbon send us.

From an usurer's gripe, and from every man, That
boldly pretends to do more than he can ; From the
scolding of women, and bite of mad dogs, And
wandering over wild bogs: Oh ! Bacchus,
Great Bacchus for ever defend us,
And plentiful store of good Bourbon send us. “

Hunter ends the song with an epic “jazz” pan flute solo.

OOC:
A Song on Bacchus taken from “Pills to Purge Melancholy and slightly altered.
