Very well. Says William. As soon as Tina finished collecting purses he headed in the direction indicated by Kalina.

OOC: William won't take any of the other loot either

Using the building as cover the group move slowly and quietly to the next set of unharmed buildings closer to the keep.

With Gutter and the family standing on the side of a two story home, Tina and William move cautiously over the front porch, thankful for the porch roof that shelters them from the dragon's sight. Suddenly the front door to the home opens wide and a kobold steps out between the two warriors. It carries a large burlap sack over its shoulder in both hands and jumps at being startled.

What startles Tina and William the most is male human voice from inside the home that says. "Hey! This house is cleared out. You should be on your way to the church to help the others."

There is more than one tall humaniod shape inside the dark home.

OOC: Going to say both sides are surprised equally.
What do you wish to do?
Currently Tina and William are in melee with kobold.
Family and Gutter are hidden around the corner.

"Here they are. Yeah, we thought you were taking too long and might have encountered some resistance." Tina says, "So we were sent to find you. Anything you want us to tell 'em back at the church?" She half turns as if she's going to walk off the porch as soon as he replies.

OOC: Tina is waiting for one of them to get close so she can attack. She also hopes they haven't really seen William. William should be able to tell from her grip on her sword that she's getting ready to attack. But those inside the building should not be able to see her hands.

William was about to swing his sword at the kobold that appeared between him and Tina but checked himself when Tina spoke. Instead he hefts his huge sword up to his shoulder, doing his best to make being ready look like being nonchalant, and stays close to the kobold, ready to strike when whatever Tina has planned goes off.

The kobold scuttles into the street and two men emerge from the home. A third man can be seen coming up behind the others. The one that spoke speaks again, and you see he carries a half full sack of loot as well. "Good then. Get going we need to have this place looted and the keep surrounded soon."

*sniff* *sniff* *sob*

One of the children can't hold back her tears and the bandits hear her. "What is that?"

OOC: Group actions needed.
Tina and William both in melee with one of the bandits.

OOC: INIT
Group: [roll0]
Enemies: [roll1]

Gutter comes running up from around the corner and plants his feet. He takes aim at the small humaniod shape he can barely see in the moonlight. The kobold jumps again and starts to run away from the bowman.

Tina's sword catches on the side of the porch post as the bandit quickly jumps aside. He draws his blade and stalks around to try and out flank her as she pulls at her embedded sword. In the nick of time she pulls the blade free and parries the strike he aimed at her midsection.

William cuts down the man beside him with a hard two-handed down swing from his greatsword. He dodges the man's quick thrust as he tried to defend himself. While recovering the huge bloody blade the third member of the looters steps out from the doorway.

OOC:
Atk vs William [roll2]
-only if higher INIT or simultaneous.
Atk vs Tina [roll3]
Tina and William both engaged with one bandit.
Gutter 3" from them, and 15" from kobold.
Crits did not unless your DM wanted them to.
And then they were like double your damage or
sever a limb. I will look into giving your characters small
boons when you get in a good blow.
