Exhaustion equals disadvantage on skills. That puts us at risk of failing needed checks to eat and not get lost.

Sure, but there's only a chance of exhaustion, right? And even if we get it we can still make checks successfully if we are lucky. Not that I have any faith in luck.

I think we stay where we are. If we push ourselves tonight, why wouldn't we push again tomorrow? We can't afford to gain any disadvantages.

Perhaps because a Drow scout just looked at us and ran away?

So? I'd rather deal with a hunting party then make mistakes that get us further lost.

I would also rather try to ambush the Drow then risk getting further lost. The check is per hour which increasingly gets tougher. Chances are likely a third of us will fail the check.
We have our armor and our weapons and they probably expect us to run and not an ambush.

The exhaustion check is per hour!? Well, okay then. (Though I'm not sure we can take the drow).

Pursuit level is 3 So you could try and get ahead of them and when it reaches 4 then maybe think about an ambush. Because at 5 they catch up to you all.
