[sblock=OOC] sunrod could be put under a cloth or other damper, no need to let it hold you back if you'd like to scout.

Heck, could even be put in a pack for later retrieval, as it is already activated.

[sblock=ooc]The above is certainly true.

Thanksgiving + associated travel + associated jet lag has tired me out too much to create the next encounter and map tonight. Update tomorrow. I guess you have until then to decide scouting and hiding sunrods and such.[/sblock]

You make your way through the natural stone cave. The only noteworthy feature of them is that they are comfortably warm.

[sblock=Bell and Martelai]These are the caves you saw in your visions.[/sblock]

While the path is long and winding, it never splits off into multiple passage ways. Eventually the tunnel opens up into a large chamber. The walls, and a decent amount of the floor, are covered with a viscous orange liquid. You also see clusters of pods along the walls.

[sblock=Perception 20]You can make out movement behind the translucent membrane of the pods. There are a lot of very small things in there.[/sblock]

You see a number of horrific creatures within. There are the spider-like things you dealt with beneath the cabin, in both the "small and plentiful" and "large and vicious" varieties. But what catches your eye is the thing dangling from a stalactite. It looks like a massive, writhing maggot with a plethora of little hooked legs that have latched onto the ichor-covered stone. There are also a couple ex-smugglers, who as things go really aren't that horrific.

The maggot looks up at you and hisses loudly.

[sblock=Veruzak]The pull is very strong here. Also, your nose is bleeding.[/sblock]

DOES ANYONE ELSE HEAR THAT :rant::rant::rant::rant:ING AWFUL PSYCHIC FEEDBACK? Veruzak clasps his ears while he screams, to no avail, as the white noise continues to make thinking difficult. As he yells, blood trickles into his mouth from his nose, Spleh, daughter of a gorgon! the gravity of the situation sinking in, the wizard listens for the teams response.

Bell looks on in horror as Veruzak seems to start dissolving from the inside. We have to stop them quickly, while Veruzaks critical organs are still in a solid state. She rushes ahead of the group, ignoring the wizards question for now. Not like he can hear me. She focuses on the master maggot. sending vibration throughout it's frame.

[sblock=actions]Move to F10. Focussed Sound, +3 vs Reflex, Broodlord. 1d10+3 damage and if things hit all attacks vs Broodlod crit on 18-20. TENT

[sblock=Bell, no!]I can make up to 4 attack in one round with an AP. If we had combined that with your power, we would have had a 50% odds of a crit right there, never mind if other people had joined in the fun.

In the future, wait until several people are ready to unload on the target to maximize that 18-20 crit.[/sblock]

-''Well, I ain't charging in there alone.'' Kendrick states. He sheathes a sword, readies a hand axe and throws it at the nearest husk.

[sblock=Actions]
Minor: Sheath longsword
move: draw handaxe
Standard: Throw at Husk 81

1d20+6, range 5/10
