I am having a lot of trouble figuring out how to be useful, and having a lot of trouble keeping up. I don't really have any uses that somebody else isn't covering already.

Your time is coming. A spirit to help recon Euphoria's penthouse will be invaluable, as will your Wizard Eye spell. And your spell loadout will be handy in a scrap...which is almost certain to ensue :).
