[sblock=Tau]What have they done!? thought Tau as he sat trembling on the edge of his bed. No wonder Olivia went mad, such darkness just should not exist. That portal must be shut, I'll need to find Cantus to see if he will tell me where it is. But where is he?

Tau takes stalk of what he knows both about Uiim's murder and about the portal. Has he managed to find anything after the old gnome passed. Were there more clues that would lead him to Cantus? Has he heard of the Seal of Shadow?[/sblock]

[sblock=Tau]With the business of burying Uiim and dealing with your compatriots as they took their leave, you had little time to investigate Cantus' progress from here. The trail is old, but not dead, there are surely ways to find him again.

Regarding the Seal of Shadow, you know very little of any certainty, although the phrase that you heard when you contacted the crystal was most assuredly in archaic elven, far older than all but the eldest of your people. Layonarai would have known more, but she has gone, perhaps if you could find one knowledgeable of the spirit realm they would be able to say more. An elf with such skills would be the most likely to help you.[/sblock]

Kolbyr nods when the man asks if he can understand him, and pulls out 5 silver coins* to pay. Upon hearing the door and the man, he shrugs and turns around to see who the new patron is.

~~~~~~~~~~
Delynn sets her things down and pays no mind to the gentleman other than to offer a polite nod.
The elf glides up to the bar and addresses the barkeep or waitstaff. "Excuse me," she says in a soft, lilting voice. "Might I trouble for something warm to drink? Anything will be fine, just not too strong. The fog this morn has a depressing chill."
~~~~~~~~~~

The gentleman smiles at the sight of proper coin, "silver then, well, it'll be four then." It seems he has something of a soft spot for the old world order.

~~~~~~~~~~
Note to Delynn: There are no others in the inn other than the two locals, the gentleman and the northerner, who is Kolbyr.
I'll leave it up to you two to work this out, please keep it in sblocks though.[/sblock]
[sblock=Ferrix & Delynn]Kolbyr smiles, and lets out an odd gutteral noise of excitement as he opens his arms to Delynn for a hug.[/sblock]
[sblock=Ferrix & Bront]Delynn's jaw drops as she takes in Kolbyr and his more gaunt form.
"Have I begun seeing into the spirit world? Surely not, but..." Whatever further thought the elf had is lost as she throws her arms around Kolbyr and buries her head in his chest.
"I thought..." the druid mumbles. Kolbyr can already feel the moisture of Delynn's tears. She doesn't try to speak again right away. The elf, trembling, simply cries in Kolbyr's arms for a moment. Finally, her trembling stops, and Delynn pulls just far enough away to look up at Kolbyr's face.
"I thought you were dead. What happened?"[/sblock]
Jerod
[sblock]
Jerod had little luck so far in his search for the resistance, few were willing to admit to having known anyone involved in it, and even fewer were willing to admit to being a part of such an organization. At first he was traveling through Agoria, the heart of the Mythar Empire, few dared speak vocally against their psychic lords for rumors ran a plenty of dissenters being killed, flayed alive or worse.
He had traveled north towards Cihairduin, the Rolling Green, whatever drew him that way was uncertain but he could feel its pull. He had traveled for almost six months to get this far, learning of his own inner strength and sharpening the values and teachings of Seryl.
Recently, he had heard rumors of a band of outlaws, brigands, who had stood up against the Mythar in a town called Peasia only a few days from here. Perhaps, just perhaps this was the first clue he needed to discover the elusive resistance.
Having learned to trust his instincts, Jerod follows the pull. He hesitates only to wonder if maybe the Mythar seek him, as they sought his parents, and maybe this pull is their trap. Either way, it has been six months, and it is time to learn something new.
He approaches the town called Peasia, casually, knowing that he must be ready to flee if it is a trap, but he also must approach the Resistance carefully if he is to join them. Entering the town, he examines the townsmen closely, while attempting to remain outwardly relaxed, and heads to the local inn/tavern.
[sblock=Tau]With everything taken care of and goodbyes said, Tau steels himself for the task ahead. Resuming the hunt for Cantus. He'll head down from his room to start gathering information on the murder and provide descriptions of Cantus to see what he can dig up. If he finds any other elves in Teh’venro he'll stop to ask them if they know any ancient elvish lore.[/sblock]
The man with the probe
[sblock=Ferrix & Delynn]Kolbyr smiles and enbraces Delynn. It is easy to see up close the fading scars of a man who has been cruely wounded, particularly around his face. Once he gathers himself, he tries to speak, but only an odd primal grunting comes out, you can see his mouth seems drawn as he speaks, like it's missing something.
He pauses for a moment, and holds up his hand, that has two identical rings on it, each with some odd script on it. He removes it, points to his hand, and then to Delynn, and then holds it out as if offering to put it on her.[/sblock]
[sblock=Ferrix & Kolbyr]Delynn looks at Kolbyr quizically for a short moment. There must be some symbolism to him, the druid thinks to herself. Without bothering to wipe her face, she extends her hand to Kolbyr, the same hand on which he has his own ring. "Thank you."[/sblock]
[sblock=Ferrix & Kolbyr]Kolbyr smiles as his voice dances through Delynn's head. 'Small messages can be sent through the rings.'
Kolbyr holds up a finger for her to wait a moment, and then escorts her to one of the tables. He pulls out two pieces of paper and shows them to Delynn, smiling at the second one.
'I can not speak, but I can understand you.'
'I am looking for an elven woman named Dellyn, she has long silver hair and is close to nature. Have you seen her?'
Hhe motions from his eyes to Delynn, and them smiles and holds his hands crossed over his chest.
Then his expression becomes a bit more somber, as his voice goes through Delynn's head, 'My tongue was removed, but was safed from burning building.'
He pulls out a third piece of paper.
'I must warn you of the Mythar. You are in great danger.'
'My people not listen, must fight here instead. Get proof.'
OOC: The rings let you use missive 10 times per day, each way between them.[/sblock]
[sblock=Ferrix & Kolbyr]Delynn holds Kolbyr's hand as he speaks through the rings and his written messages.
"Small messages... I am... so terribly sorry. If I had known..." but she stops. She knows that they both are aware what would have happened if Delynn had been present during the attack.
The druid clasps Kolbyr's hands in her own. "Then let me speak for you, my dearest friend." Fresh tears stream down the elf's cheeks. "Please forgive me for leaving you."
For a moment, Delynn stares into Kolbyr's eyes.
"I came here to find a gnome named Uiim. I fear that he has been killed. But even if he has, his companions may be of help to us. I have joined with a resistance group. We will find the proof you need." In the druid's eyes is both a sense of hope and determination.
"But of most import, dear Kolbyr, is that you are alive. My spirit rejoices that you are here with me." Delynn suddenly becomes overwhelmed with emotion. "Please let us not part again." The druid grasps Kolbyr's hand even tighter.[/sblock]
Kolbyr reaches over and whipes away a tear streaming down Delynn's face, his hands soft and gentile for such a large man. He smiles reasuringly. 'Feared you might be dead. Just glad to see you.''Sister spoke for me once, you can now.'
Kolbyr smiles approvingly and nods, pointing to his note about the Mythar again.[/sblock]
