Tullia describes their journey to the cave as best as possible, knowing that only someone with experience in the wilderness and the ability to track could probably find such a please. She concludes her description of the trip, "... and of course, Boarhide and I would welcome the opportunity to escort some of your men to do a more thorough clean-up of the cave that they were using. Although my guess is that when they fled they took everything of indispensable value."

Pausing for a minute to think of the workers, she then adds, "There was one who seemed to be able to use some kind of magic. He attempted to make Boarhide die with a simple word. It stunned him, but only for a few seconds if that." She smiles slightly, but does not look at Boarhide while she describes this section so as to not reveal that Boarhide needed to be 'covered' as much as she did later. "The power was definately magical of some kind, however."

"From my time in the wild, I am aware of a rare tree that grows in Duskwood. There was a potted version of it still within the cave when we left. Due to its rarity, I think it is significant. However, it is only as significant as being able to find another one in the woods to identify it if it is not there upon further investigation."

[Sblock=OOC]Thanks for the reminders, FX.

Furthermore, since I don't plan on ever having Tullia "magic-capable" I was intentionally vague on my description of knowing an arcanist from a divine spellcaster. Unless that is common knowledge in your version of Eberron ... I doubt Tullia would know the difference. That is why I didn't name the caster as a priest.[/Sblock]

Boarhide chuckles at Tullia's statement. "No, they ran as fast as rabbits from a fox once the wolves and other guards died. I doubt they took much. Garrick had some time however to gather a few things I am sure. I was delayed by the False Wolves who so recently adorned your floor and he was able to escape."

At this point Tullia smiles broadly at Boarhide and says, "Yes, well, you would remember this point better than I. Why don't you finish up the story for the Constable while I rest my weary feet."

Boarhide grumbles something under his breath involving the words; public, her job, and damn rangers.

He then begins his story, for though he prefers Tullia speak with these city folk, Boarhide learned and told stories around the communal fires at home.

"We had entered the cave quietly, there were carved sentinels outside designed to fool some at a distance. Once inside we met the magician Tullia spoke of as well as two guards and a few workers. I slew one of the guards and Tullia shot another before I succumbed to the foul magics. When I awoke Tullia had slain the magician and the technicians had left. We entered another room where several more guards and workers were. There Tullia and slew several more guards as one left to summon others. That is when the False Wolves appeared with Garrick. One wolf I slew and I turned to the other, but not before my thirst for battle and revenge had allowed the other wolf to strike down Tullia to my shame. He I slew as well in a mighty stroke. Once he died the other guards showed their cowardly nature and ran with the workers, fleeing with their tails between their legs before a true Wolf. Garrick had fled back down to his lair. I followed him, but I could find no way out nor any sign of him. Much of what was left we examined or collected."

As Boarhide grumbles and finishes grumbling, Tullia simply says to the Constable with a wink, "One reason I never married..." She smirks as Boarhide finishes his story.

Once he is done, she turns back to him to reinforce him on account ofall the rib-poking that has been occurring. "See, Constable? I did say that he certainly earned his share. I fully believe him when he says they ran with tails between their legs. In fact, I rather envision them wetting themselves, too."

"And here I thought it was the fact that you hung around a huge, smelly brute that kept the suitors away" interjects Boarhide with a sly grin.

"I did not check to see if their cowardice went that far Tullia, I had other pressing matters to atone for." he adds with some solemnity, misisng Tullia's jest entirely (again)

Tullia does not further the comment to his final addition but rather tilts her head back and enjoys a good hardy laugh. "Gods love ya, Boarhide. Gods love ya."

"Sentinels out side the cave, huh! That might help us to locate it.

A magician of sorts supporting them. That is troubling. There is only so much that I can do. I will file a report with the detectives that are covering this with what you have told me. I think that they will find this of great use. If the detectives would like to be shown the cave they will let me know and I can contact you. I will have them look at the encoded ledger as well. Hopefully they can find some names, places or something to go on.

Thank you for all of your work. The City of Marketplace is definitely thankful.... and so am I.
" Constable Fierstram smiles and chuckles a little bit.

"Well, seeming as there is a dot on the Duskwood, it might be marking where this potted plant is found, or something else? Why do they need this plant? ... and what about these green dots?

If the grey ones mark distribution points and the white one possibly marks where the plant is, what does that leave?
" She looks at the map a little more with her face contorting a bit while thinking about the map. She turns the map towards both of you as she looks at it so all three of you can see it.

"A wolf knows where his prey is born, where they eat and where to lay after eating. Could those remaining points mean places where the plants are stored or other work areas? Or perhaps meaningful consumers of the plants." suggests Boarhide

"In any case we need to move quickly to pick up Garricks trail. If the plants come from Duskwood, he will need more. That maybe a good place to try to find him Tullia. He is crafty, but he is old, without his pack, he will be more cautious. A wolf without a pack will not survive long if another pack challenges him" says Boarhide gripping the arms of his chair until the creak under the strain, threatening to break.

Tullia reasons, "My sturdy friend speaks wisely, I beleive. It is likely possible that the other dots are refinement or storage places. You cannot merely pluck a plant out of the ground and hand it to people for a good price. You have to make it usable. But in either case Garrick will either abandon his work or need more plants. Perhaps we should go back to the forest as you say Boarhide. Perhaps we can pick up Garrick's trail once more."

Tullia stands and offers Boarhide a hand. "It sounds like we are finished here, Constable. We'll do a bit of shopping and then head off to the forest. You can send your men there. Likely we'll find them loking for us before they find us."
