They appear to be journal entries, how ever they are all out of order and some have been torn or screwed into balls. The top page in Galdar's hands reads.
"10 days since last change I'm starting to feel better. Haven't seen farther in a while."

Hrgach looked around the room. He checked out a couple of the papers, but then went back to his search of the room.

The hobgoblin doesn't find anything a cursory glance of the room wouldn't reveal. Clearly this room was meant for habitation but given the state of it,it hasn't been used in a while.

The papers that are legible reveal the story of someone, a boy locked down here due to him transforming into something that was unsafe. Later enteries mention other powers developing and a special cage to hold him.

"A dead end. Good to know." Ana says. "So we have a locked bunker where something dangerous hides itself from the world. Does this mean we should bring silver to kill him or a cleric to cure him, not that we have access to such a priest? This place is obviously an attempt to do the right thing in a terrible situation." She takes in the room again and wonders how much it would hurt to lock one's son in here.

"This ransacking looks recent, we should hurry to the other side of the warren to find this creature before it finds the unlocked door we left behind us." She heads back to the entry way.

The other passageway is very similar to the first except mirrored, clearly this has been crafted by something. Something else seems odd the stalactites here are all evenly spaced out, their is a central stalactite larger than the rest it is surrounded by a bunch of smaller stalactites.

“That’s why I said lock the door,” Hrgach grumbled when Ana warned them about the creature getting out. He followed her back to the entry, though, as it didn’t appear anything else was in this room.

The next passage led to a corridor and rooms with odd formations of stalactites.

“Strange,” Hrgach mused. “What could cause this?”

Hrgach tries to discern what is going on with the odd collecting of stalagmites but cant quite work it out, it seems to perfect a formation to be natural yet nothing seems untoward about it.
