New Boards?

I'm not sure this question was settled to my satisfaction.

Just don't get in the habit!

Shemeska, this is about the 5th incarnation of the boards, with 1-4 taking place between August 1999 and February 2002. Imagine how large they'd be if we hadn't had to restart them multiple times of different servers?

When I clicked on this thread I thought, "Wha? ENWorld has a new board?" Then I saw that some berk... turns out it was EvilHalfling... decided that aged 5 years is as good a quality for a thread as it is for bourbon.

Like Shemeska I showed up later in 2002, and while I heard some buzz about having lost stuff from the old boards I never did see them.

And perhaps someone in the know can explain Lemmoncurry? I mean, I voted for it, but I'd like to know what I voted for. Just cause.

yep, i remember the old boards! i joined enworld in mid-2001, so i got to see them for a few months before the switch. looking at the names on the first page of this thread is like a trip down memory lane - many of those folks wound up emigrating to NKL, and then disappearing entirely.
