No defense

I'm looking at some of the traps/hazards and noticing there is no Will defense listed for them. Does that mean an attack against Will is an auto hit, or does it have immunity to them?
Is this standard for any thing else without a certain defense listed?

There's no Will to be hit.

I would say that if it has no will defense, then attacks against will are not a valid countermeasure (i.e. immune).

The will defense of the huge block of stone falling on you is.... huh?

The rock has no will defense, you cannot charm it, dominate it, crush its hopes and dreams, etc...

From the DMG (p.66):
Objects don't have a Will defense and are immune to attacks that target Will defense.
