Keldar's morningstar clobbers into the third elemental. It makes that awful sound again, though at a lower volume this time, and again explodes, this time catching Keldar and Galwynn in its radius. (6 damage to Keldar and Galwynn, Reflex save DC: 12 halves) Keldar backs away, drops his dagger, and tosses a javelin across the circle. "Shaaahh..." Sloshy sighs, and the being of water becomes a thin spray as it squeezes through the crack in its cylindrical force field.

The fire elementals, being pummeled from all directions, begin to fight back...

F1 gets up. (AoO from Galwynn and Rapture) It attacks Rapture, but doesn't get through her defense. (Hits AC 10) After Galwynn's strike of opportunity, it explodes. (3 damage to Galwynn and Rapture, Reflex save DC: 12 halves)

F7, F8, and F9 spawn.


F2 gets up. (AoO from Tarag) It attacks Tarag successfully. (Hits AC 19, 6 damage to Tarag)

F4 spawns in the grease but doesn't fall. It attacks Galwynn successfully. (Hits AC 14, 8 damage to Galwynn)

F5 attacks Keldar but misses. (Hits AC 6)

F6 attacks Galwynn successfully. (Hits AC 23, 6 damage to Galwynn)

Tarag... (F1 & F2 are 2HD. F4, F5, & F6 are 1HD. Please distribute your rebuke as you wish.)

OOC: Rapture, Galwynn, and Tarag all have AoO's to make, if they want. Sloshy is last in the init count.

OOC: Having seen how these things explode when you hit them, Tarag's not going to go for the AoO. Instead, he rebukes all of the fire elementals. And since F4, F5 & F6 are half his hit dice, he'll command them, as well! :]

IC: "The little ones are mine - don't attack them! Hit the big one from a distance!"

Galwynn HP -3/19

Reflex save (1d20+2=4)

Galwynn burns from the exploding elemental, and is then attacked by a series of them. He isn't able to say much more before his clothes explode into flame, and he burns, burns, burns!

OOC: Was at 17 HP. The second exploding one brings Gal down to 11. And then he's hit for 8 and 6. Ah, from full health to -3 in one round! :)

OOC: ARGH. This is the most annoying combat ever. F1 never got its 8 damage in, so Galwynn's at 5. The explosion then deals 3 (or 1) damage to Galwynn, putting him at 2 (or 4)

To Tarag: Since the AoO occurred before the Rebuke, Tarag now commands all 6 tiny elementals and F2 is rebuked.
