[OOC:Haha, I should have gone to bed, but I saw you were online HM, and waited to see if you'd post. Now to stay up later to post! :p]

Aidan did not particularly enjoy Dellex's laughter, but he'd succeeded in making himself look less aware of things than he was, which was good. The less Dellex thought he knew, the less he'd be embroiled in the politics. At least, that was his assumption, based on the fact that his mum refused to teach him anything about nobles... which made him smile on the inside, knowing he'd successfully done something political/strategic... or whatever it is he just did, he just had the feeling it was right.

Dellex's commentary on his family made Aidan grow slightly pale, though on the whole he was both impressed yet unimpressed. Magic was an astounding thing, yet it also made feats of nigh impossibility child's play... which made it harder to be surprised at prodigious feats, or so was Aidan's logic. When you can teleport a boy miles and miles, knowing his family doesn't seem too far fetched.

As he heard a second voice, he jumped slightly turning to look as the man entered. "Yes Mi'lord, my father is very ill and the local healers cannot discern the cause. I've joined tha irreg'lars to get some coin ta pay the noble's healers to fix Pa, but I dunno how much time is left..."

The boy confirmed, before bowing to Lord Bairan. "Forgive me, Mi'lord, I ain't too good with the eti... eti... " The boy drifted momentarily, hoping that the others knew what he was trying to say, but the word was always so hard! "My name's Aidan Burke... of Datson..."

"You arrived quickly Mi'lord," Dellex says standing nodding his head as if to an equal. "This boy is the one I told you about the one from..."

"All I do is sit and wait, sit and wait. So when your message arrived I had nothing to do but come here," Bairan intreupts. The lord keeps his eyes on Aidan and moves over to stand beside Dellex.

Turning his head to the wizard and speaks, "Lo but he is a young one. Were we that young when we ventured out to tackle the monsters of the world?" he asks the jovial glint still in his kind eyes.

"I think we were a little older," Dellex comments. "Mi'lord we need..."

"So you have walked the Spider's Path. And fought the denzien's of the dark Western Woods. Please tell me everything, you..." Bairan starts to ask but it is Dellex turn to interupt.

"Mi'lord we need to know what is going on at Harkon. Aidan can tell us stories of his adventures tonight, perhaps at dinner. I will gladly get his report and let you know the details I thought you had to check on the temsters. Four horses coming up lame yesterday to slow us needs looked into, they seem to be getting sloppy in their work."

A giant sigh escapes Bairan's lips. "Yes we need to move and this delay is costing us." As he sets out he looks back at Aidan and smiles. Shaking his head as he turns to leave saying "So young." and exits the tent.

Dellex let's out a sigh, and then turns to Aidan the stern look back and he sits once more. "Now you will tell me everything you saw and did from the time you enetered the Western Woods until you went to bed last night." Dellex's eyes are not jovial and they are not kind.

Aidan felt his tension ease a bit as Bairan entered and began to speak, but Dellex quickly ushered him off and turned even more unpleasant on Aidan. He frowned, looking at the man very sullenly.

"Ah'm jus' a country boy, I dun't have no special memory magic 'er nothin'. We fought some Gnolls, we fought some spider named Ettercap, we ran from a log that was a three-headed snakemonster in a lake, then we met Vance Valorn and made our way to Harkon Manor... then ye magicked me out of my clothes and belongings and accosted me unpleasantly to recite things... Not much to tell, Sir, really." Aidan replied, his voice rather drained of emotion as he tried to remain as polite as possible despite his patience wearing thin with the hostile treatment from a supposed ally. "When is it, sir, that I get some proper clothes...? Perhaps before that dinner you mentioned?"

[OOC: Sorry for the delay, friend from out of town was about, he only just went home last night and things were(and still are) hectic.]

"Just a country boy?" Dellex says and then stares at Aidan for what seems like hours but is really less than a minute.

"I believe you are," he says a thin smile forming on his lips. Standing he walks over to a chest by the bed and rummages through it. Pulling out an old blue robe he hands it over to the country boy.

"Here," he says offhandedly. "This will do for now."

"Aidan, I have power. More than you know, and I also can help you." The wizard stands before Aidan as the boy sits on the edge of the bed robe across his lap. "I can help you. Help save your father. And all I need from you is to know you are speaking the truth."

He watches for Aidan's reaction to this before contining. "You said Martomum is not at Harkon Manor, and that Jareth Kyras is. Is this true? You said you reached Harkon did you warn the baron about the Treylor? Do you know what they plan to do?"

Aidan smiled a bit once Dellex offered him clothes. This less angry version was much more tolerable for the passive farmboy. However, his claims to help his father both motivated him but made him more suspicious. Time was of the essence for that, and if the man was resorting to using that as a chip, it meant he did not truly wish to help his father. He slipped the robe on as he thought a moment.

"If ya already know about pa, why's he still sick?" Aidan asked, confused before he answered. "I dun't like lying, sir. As fer Harkon and tha treylor, we told that Vance fella, and we spoke briefly wit' 'is brother, but then that night ya sorta vanished me off in me smallclothes, so I don't know much. I generally try ta keep outta tha way, 'cepting when I'm tol' ta be in the way..."

"Yes, I understannd," Dellex says moving back to his desk.

The wizards draws forth a roll of parchment and then starts to write. Aidan watches as the mage makes flourishes with the feather quill, and then puts the paper aside to dry and takes up another one.

As he starts writing out a second missive he says not looking up. "The first note is for Fallon, I'm sure you remember him." Dellex says and then looks up to see Aidan's nod, then continues to write.

"And this," he says taking a jar of fine sand and spreading it on the paper to help it dry fatser. "This is a note to one Father Wellim, he will accompany you and cure your father once you give this to him."

Dellex rolls up the parchment and then starts to seal it with a small lump of wax. The note to Fallon he just folds and then he hands both to Aidan.

"I suggest you hurry," he says as he walks the boy to the entrance flap. "Your father will be glad to see you again, I am sure."

[sblock=OOC] Anything else before I usher you out and off to the irregulars?? [/sblock]

Aidan blinks as the man sits down and begins writing, he fidgeted slightly, wondering if he had been subtly dismissed. However, after a moment Dellex began speaking, and the farmboy nodded.

"Aye, I remember him. Nice fellow, Fallon..." Aidan commented, watching in slight confusion. What was Dellex writing. Then he spoke of a Father Wellim. The boy blinked as the parchments were handed to him. "Um... Yeah... will Father Wellim be wit' tha Irregulars? An'... ya might wanna apologize ta Lord Bairan that I won't be present fer tha dinner, he'll have ta come ta camp and find me sometime after I've sorted things an' I can tell 'im all about my adventures..." Aidan commented, stepping outside the flap as he was ushered out before asking another simple question. "Erm... where is Fallon now?"

"Fallon will explain everything," Dellex says as he is ushering the boy out. Then to a guard outside he says, "Escort him to the irregulars camp."

And closing the tent flaps he leaves you alone with a guard who looks all business.

Not speaking a word he points to indicate where Aidan should go, and then follows behind him silently. The walk gives him time to gather his thoughts and think of his father. Soon he will be home his quest complete and his father well again.

And then he can... can what? Go back to milking cows before the sun is up? Can follow behind the horse plow? Pushing more than guiding because Freenie should have stopped pulling a plow along time ago. Suddenly his life before sounds... off to him, he doesn't know why but that life seems like it belongs to someone else.

A familiar sight interrupts his thoughts as he sees the ever present space between the two camps. Looking over at the hodge podge tents and hearing the voices of gruff men talking he almost feels like he has... come home???

[sblock=OOC] Go ahead and walk about but don't find Fallon yet got a surprise for you. [/sblock]

Aidan followed the man smoothly, feeling much more comfortable outside the possible risks of intrigue, and his step much lighter as Dellex gave him the papers that would heal his father and bring his quest to an end. He wasn't sure what to do after that. Knowing that Lora was out there and possibly in danger would keep him from being happy on the farm, but until his father recovered... someone had to help around the farm... it would be hard enough for his family to cope while the farmboy was gone, let alone if he went off while he was getting back into the swing of things.

He didn't bother to speak to the taciturn guard, simply heading in the direction he was given and as he arrived with the Irregulars, he relaxed a bit, his eyes searching for Fallon.

"Oi! Fallon! It's Aidan! I got a message fer ya!" The boy shouted, realizing the blue robes might work as a bit of a disguise. He felt somewhat out of place in the robes, but not quite as much as he would have anticipated... maybe it's because they are older robes?
