Aidan did not particularly enjoy Dellex's laughter, but he'd succeeded in making himself look less aware of things than he was, which was good. The less Dellex thought he knew, the less he'd be embroiled in the politics. At least, that was his assumption, based on the fact that his mum refused to teach him anything about nobles... which made him smile on the inside, knowing he'd successfully done something political/strategic... or whatever it is he just did, he just had the feeling it was right.
Dellex's commentary on his family made Aidan grow slightly pale, though on the whole he was both impressed yet unimpressed. Magic was an astounding thing, yet it also made feats of nigh impossibility child's play... which made it harder to be surprised at prodigious feats, or so was Aidan's logic. When you can teleport a boy miles and miles, knowing his family doesn't seem too far fetched.
As he heard a second voice, he jumped slightly turning to look as the man entered. "Yes Mi'lord, my father is very ill and the local healers cannot discern the cause. I've joined tha irreg'lars to get some coin ta pay the noble's healers to fix Pa, but I dunno how much time is left..."
The boy confirmed, before bowing to Lord Bairan. "Forgive me, Mi'lord, I ain't too good with the eti... eti... " The boy drifted momentarily, hoping that the others knew what he was trying to say, but the word was always so hard! "My name's Aidan Burke... of Datson..."
