Opening Moves Issue #1: Bombs Away

Nagi the Stormrider

As Nagi nears the area of commotion, she silently looks downward to the conflict below, while remaining vigilant against danger to herself, and views the fires that if left uncheck could soon engulf all of the buildings in entire block and endanger countless people.

She raises a hand skyward, her fingers apart, as electrical energy arcs between her fingers, cascades down her arm, and then all across her body. The humidity in the air rapidly increases, the winds gust, and the sky above begins to rumble loudly and flash lightning as storm clouds start to form high above. Slowly, a mere light sprinkle at first, rain starts coming down onto the consuming fires and rapidly increasing intensity into a downpour in an attempt to calm the fire’s great rage.

Ghost

Ghost floats further towards her destination, the police station, unless she spots someone in imminent danger and in need of her help.

"If you don't mind my saying, you don't seem to be properly equipped for the job. Me, on the other hand, that's a whole different story." With that, giant hydraulic cylinders and mechanical gears appear to cover Doc S-3's body, boosting her strength tremendously. She moves the policer officer aside with a gentle sweep of her arm and moves forward to clear the 10-foot pile of rubble before her to make a clear way.

Strongarm

Stanley continued to drive towards, what he knows to be, a tough battle ahead. Perhaps dozens of criminals who're strung out on a drug that makes them super-strong.

Well its better to smart than strong. He thought to himself...Fortunately Strongarm was both!

Kineto: With that declaration, your kinetic will lashes down towards one of the thugs, an anonymous fellow with a hoary black beard who is pummeled to the ground, unconscience. The others looked shocked, "Holy!!!!", "Ground that freak!!!" They all raise their weapons at once and fire desperatly in the air. Of the four, only one finds its intended target, tearing through the arm of your uniform, but avoiding flesh.

Doc S-3: The officer backs away in fright as you clank about, dispersing with the rubble. As you clear it, you hear a barrage of gunfire...

They prepare to unleash another round as the caped flyer is joined by new players. From the west, leaping from between two undamaged buildings, comes a dark suited blur whose clawed hands looks menacing even from this distance (200ft from the thugs).

From the north, the sound of grating metal calls attention to another figure, feminine in the shape but covered in twisting metallic parts.

And from higher than even Kineto, a small cloud descends. As it nears into the light of the surrounding fires it appears transparent revealing the form of a beautiful robed woman...

The gang gawk at the flood of newcomers, gripping their weapons tighter to their chests...more complications...

Initiative: Nagi, Spyder, Doc, Kineto, Thugs(4). The newcomers are all 200ft from the thugs.

ooc: strongarm and ghost next round.

Nagi the Stormrider

Nagi focuses on dousing the fires with the rain that is now falling - the heavy rain continuing to pour down on the blazes below as those individuals in the area of commotion take action. She stays alert in case she is somehow endangered, despite her being high above the commotion, and attempts to discern who among those in the commotion below are the antagonists and who are the protagonists.

Kineto, 5 HP, unhurt... i think

OOC: When my turn comes up:

Kineto frowns as the bullet tears through his uniform. Focus! His temper soon perks up, however, as he spots the incoming reinforcements, and feels the rain falling, hopefully putting out the fires.. "Surrender is still an option, you know. I'll stop if you do," he says, almost mockingly before surrounding his arm with more waving kinetic force and letting it loose at another thug.

Doctor S-3

Spotting the thugs with weapons opening fire, Sarah looks at a huge piece of rubble still in her hand and decides to throw it at the ground near the thugs. She then picks the next piece up and holds it up threateningly. She then shouts towards the men, "If you don't want the next one to end up cracking your skull, drop your weapons!"

Syder, unhurt, 5HP

Syper moves his full move towards the thuigs, looking around the area to any hidden danger or any hurt people that might be trapped, etc.

Leaping 120ft, Spot +9

Rain begins to descend in steady torrents as clouds form over the heads of the flying figures. The flames that had suffused the building begin to retreat as Spyder and Nagi close in and the metallic woman holds up a large piece of rubble threateningly. As another of their company fall from the a pummeling by Kineto's kinetic energy, one of the thugs declares loudly, "I'll get the lady!!" and rushes off towards the police station, making it to within 80 feet of the precinct door. Another yells after him angrily, 'Bart!!' as he opens fire on Doc, his companion on Kineto.

As Kineto evades his bullet, the other richochets off of the metal woman's exterior without effect.

Spyder and Nagi: on the roof of the police station, (some 280ft ahead of Spyer, 200 from Nagi), you spot a figure in black, leaning against the edge of the roof a sniper rifle aimed at the costumed flying man.

Nagi is up. 3 Thugs remaining, one running towards the station.

Ghost: you float early through and over buildings. You come up from the west, from behind the police station. When you get within 100ft of the building, you spot two figures on the roof. One leaning over the edge, aiming a rifle in a prescice fashion, the other in a robe, opening a latch and beginning a descent back intot he building.

Strongarm: Your car barrels through traffic, heading due south, the direcition of the disturbance. Up ahead, you see, set up infront of a thin line of rubble, a police blockade, two cars lines up to obstruct anyone trying to enter.

ooc: Strongarm can join the fun next round, if he can find an amusing way to get past the blockade.
