Shelzar: City of Sin. It's a great book. :) Dave Brohman is a twisted, twisted man.

Great! I just ordered it this week from Amazon based on the info about the eroticist. So now I have at least two reasons to look forward to its arrival.

Star man, better buy two since I helped authored it. Well a little. (I did spells)

LG, I think I can say there will be at least ONE necromancy spell someone might like in the book that's not been seen in any other Scarred Lands product.

Shadow,

Yeah well the Eroticist is not in the book. But I'm sure I can repost it if you need it. (In it's 3.0 format mind you.)

Besides I'd like to see what they did with Mike Gill's section of the book, especially in light of the changes to bard in 3.5.

That's a good question Nightfall. I don't even know what they did to update bards to 3.5 :) I think most of what I wrote would still fit regardless of changes, perhaps they just had to modify the Prcs a bit and the new feat prereqs/mechanics. At least that's my guess.

So outside of the PrCs and the material for bards, what else is the book going to cover?

I'm looking forward to the material for incorporating other PrCs into the setting.

I believe there was something about feats to customize the sorcerer or something ala blood lines?

New spells? Feats? Familiars? I'm always looking for new familiars. Liber Bestiarius gave my wizard the Mowz which still gets lots of chuckles at the game when it hunts down the cats.

I believe the book will cover more details about wizards and their "cabals" (so probably more cabalist invocations). The sorcerous bloodlines (called Scions), there will be more I believe. (I know Joe mention something about a Scion feat called Hellspawn. So you know it's all good). I also believe there are new feats, new familiars and I know for a fact there are new spells. (I did a few. :) ) So I think that about covers it. Mister Carriker can fill you in if I missed something.

Mmh, one thing I am personally interested in:
How many of those prestige classes are good for sorcerers?
General trend I've noticed is, that there are much more interesting classes for wizards. I've noticed this trend from since Blood and Tome by WotC.

I think that class has always been mishandled, and actually way it appears in computer game Neverwinter Nights is better by far than its PHB-version, at least that's the way I feel it. It would nice to see some sorcerer-specific feats too, metamagic has always favored wizards.

Anyway, how about sorcerer/wizard classes for 'critters' like Hags, Slithering and so on, or any knowledge about their magical culture. Spells, wards, general nastiness, that is among their common practise. What kind of familiars casters use, besides the common ones?

Or things like, is there some kind of Cult of Mesos?
Is there magic with dragonic infulence?
More true rituals?
More ritual magic?
More options for Titan's blood and Hag's potions nastiness?
Any information about other continents than Ghelspad?

Think if you scroll back to page 1, you'll see a list done by Joe that are good for sorcerers, period. (So far I count two since they are Scion based.)

Again I point to Scion feats as they give +1 effective caster level to the spells a sorcerer MUST learn, along with another bonus.

Dunno if that will be covered since they'll be focusing on PLAYERS, not Dms/Gms.

Yes there's a cult of Mesos, but you are better off looking in the Divine and Defeated for detials on that. And I believe the Draconic language will be covered. No idea about the last four save there will be HC done of Termana (the second continent) and Asherak.

Once we get a little closer to the Release Date, I'll post something with a little run-down on the kinds of things you can expect to find in the book, chapter-by-chapter.

I have to get back to work on Players Guide to Fighters and Barbarians, though. I'll post a list of those prestige classes some time next week. ;-)

Yeah. I have been chomping at the bit to mention a little something about these classes for a while. I am glad that you are finally going to do it. ;)

Oh and as far as everyone who has mentioned prestige class power levels, I kept that carefully in mind when working on mine. Every prestige class I worked on in fighters and barbarians is basically a supreme specialist. In their chosen are of expertise they are just about unmatched. But if you remove them from the circumstances in which they are most comfortable they are at a definete disidvantadge over someone who went on a similar path to them.
