And the basic attack with the shortsword would be +4 (+2 Str +2 prof), while the dagger would be +6 (+8 thrown). Basic melee attacks are still keyed off Str, and basic ranged attacks off Dex; only the rogue melee powers are off Dex. So the damage values would also be altered for the shortsword and dagger.
