Proper way to advance this creature

android

First Post
I'm working with a 20 HD devil that has natural attacks. The attacks entry of the stat block is as follows:

Attacks: 2 claws +32 melee, bite +23 melee

If I wanted to advance this creature by adding levels of monk, what would his attacks end up looking like? What is the proper way of doing it?

Let's assume I add 10 levels of monk.

Does the creature get only his 3 natural attacks but with the bonus to its BAB? Can he use his claw attack as all three of his attacks he gets from being a monk? Is it something else?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am not an expert but I'll give it a try.

10th level monk get +7/+2 attacks or +7/+4/+1 unarmed.

Added to the BAB of the devil (+32), it would become:

+39/+34 if the devil fights with a weapon
+39/+36/+33 if it fights unarmed.

Add an attack at +30 (bite) and you got the pefect adventurer shredder :D

So, in short: two attack routines

Weapon: +39/+34 (weapon) +30 (bite)
Unarmed: +39/+36/+33 (unarmed, see damage for a monk this size) +30 (bite)

Why is the bite -9 to hit in comparison to the claws?

I don't think adding 10 levels of monk add anything to the attack routine other than +7 BAB. The monster will get some speed and AC bonuses, a few feats and little else.

The 3 claw routine would be 39/36/33 vs what was stated above. The natural attack set should be better.

You making some epic CR 30 devil or something?

Yes, I'm advancing Bune from the Book of Fiends.

The -9 is because he has an item that gives him a +4 enhancement bonus to his claw attacks.
