I'm planning a weekly campaign that's about a two-hour drive each way. We might take turns hosting, which will make things easier for us, the people two hours away... and maybe the people an hour away in a different direction, if we can get them.
You'd expect this will probably skew the results more toward the last option than is generally true, given we, as a message board of engaged TTRPGs, are more likely to be GMs, and GMs are more likely to host.
My players travel between 10 minutes and 1.5 hours total travel time, accounting for rush hour traffic during the week.
One of the players has a good space for gaming, so we're usually there.
If that doesn't work out, then we use the FLGS.
It's less than an hour drive for me regardless of where we play.
I host, either at home (less often) or at my game store (more often), which are only a city block apart.
My players come from all over the place. Some a half hour drive or more. Others could walk it, but probably don't. One player (who makes it the least often, ironically enough) lives in my building!
