Death by hanging.

The Raven was the trickster and, from a young age, the mischievous spirit spoke in Nimh's ear. Free and easy and good-natured, it was hard to believe that it would lead him here: in a cage.

His people were nomads, wandering the plains, following herds and trading with various communities. Some were small and isolated villages and, to them, Nimh's tribe was a boon, providing much needed supplies and information from civilization. In these places,Nimh would carouse and play with the locals and, sometimes, get up to mischief. But his mischief was in good fun and he rarely got in trouble.

Other places - usually the bigger cities - mistrusted the wandering band of nomads, thinking them to be dishonest thieves, which was far from the truth: they were a deeply spiritual people and they forbade Nimh from carrying out his antics in these places. But it was in one of these large cities that the Raven whispered into Nimh's ear and sent him into the city to do some mischief.

Unfortunately, mischief led to an unfortunate accident and an injured noble. While Nimh tried to make ammends and heal the noble, she turned him into the authorities. Not being a citizen, Nimh had no rights and so was locked in jail and, by week's end, he was to be hung. His Tribe had forsaken him for disobeying their laws and, since it had not been the first time he'd been in trouble his luck had run out.

Or had it?

The evening before he was to be hung, he was released from his cell. He was escorted to the outskirts of the city and, there, his escort - a guard who seemed uncomfortable in his armour, handed Nymh a note with a location. It was signed, G. V.

Short history:
Khugel was born into a family of svirfneblin miners who worked in the Underdark. Sickly and weak, Khugel was a burden initially, but he was smart and dexterous enough to be apprenticed to the local alchemist. In one foray into the wild to collect some ingredients, he was captured early in his life by a pack of duergar. He served as a lowly servant, to weak for mining, but nimble enough to climb where the bulkier dwarves couldn't really get and expendable enough to use for milking venomous critters and brewing terrible poisons. In time, he got into scouting, perfecting both acrobatic stunts he could pull off running if he's detected, and stealth.

His break came in Skull Port when his owner lost some bet or the other. And somehow in between one owner and the next, Golden Vault stepped in. Since then, he was provided shelter, libraries, and a lab for saving poisoned people. This is the first time he is called to do something active and he's eager to prove himself.

Nymh and TORDAR could know each other and have some common elements in their background.

Though if that is the case--based on the picture--Nymh has changed. You've changed man!
