Sunder objects?

Does the sunder (and improved sunder) feat work when attacking unattended objects? The feat says weapons, but you'd think it would be easier to hit an object that no-one is moving.

What you're looking for is "Strike an Object." The feats Sunder and Improve Sunder don't help

What you need to do is get a friend to pick up the object in question, and use it as an improvised club.

Then you Improved-Sunder it.
