Round 1
The gargoyle hiss can be heard all the way along the line of escapees, causing some panic. Nariah rushes past the line, bursting through the door in time to catch one of the gargoyles with a blast of fey energy. Illvilious opens the door leading out the garden, "The way should be clear, now. Go!" His instruction galvanises the fearful townsfolk and they begin dashing out of the garden, the three braver souls helping to hurry things along. Errol manages to wound one of the Gargoyles slightly before he, Duran, and Illvilious form a defensive line to protect the fleeing townsfolk. J.V. steps clear of the door and unleashes his chaotic energies at a gargoyle but misses.
The two two gargoyles move up, attacking the first two intruders, but neither manages to land a blow.
