Confronting The Ruffians
Castagyr arrives at the Green Griffon tavern and learns that the strange group had been there earlier, questioned a gnoll named N'Grath, then left for Brown District. A fellow dragonborn, Rhal by name, had overheard and sympathized with Castagyr's plight. He, too, had been on the receiving end of G'Kar's machinations earlier that night. Although he was scheduled to leave on a boat heading back to the Dragonborn islands later the next day, Rhal regretted not being able to say goodbye to Amisi and her companions. He considered them to be fine folk who could use a strong dragonborn at their side.
It is nearly dawn by the time the group finds themselves at a Brown District boarding house. They had talked to N'Grath, found a witness to the attack on Lenya near an alley, and had finally gotten a break when a Lurker (one of the homeless people in Brown District) had pointed out where the ruffians lived when not working the docks, in exchange for a gold piece (OOC: someone will need to deduct a gold piece from their character sheet).
Castagyr is a little less than a block away when he spots Amisi and her cohorts. A group of dock workers emerges from a boarding house, their sunbaked and ugly leader spitting on the ground near the elf, Lenya.
"You ain't learned your lesson last night so you bring your friends, eh?"
Amisi, Korgon, and the others notice right away that the odds are no longer in their favor. The group of ruffians has expanded to nearly a dozen, all of them rough and tumble and looking for a fight, some of the wielding clubs.
Felix suspects that someone tipped the ruffians off. They are far too organized and ready for a fight.
Castagyr, from his vantage point, notices a man watching the proceedings from a second story balcony, with a crossbow pointed at the female human mage.
