It's from a internet cartoon personality called Strongbad, who answers people's e-mail. Someone asked him to draw a dragon, and Trogdor was born.

But it you poke around the site, you'll find more references to Trogdor, including a game where you have to burninate villagers without being sworded. No really, if you get hit by a soldier, the word "sworded" flashes on the screen. He was a man. He was a dragon man.
