"Why not?" is not a good reason to do something. Kinky Friedman ran for Texas governor on the platform of "Why not?" I don't think I have to tell you how he placed in the four-person race.

He still took 12% of the vote, which is way more than anyone with such a platform should. I'd say that vindicates, "why not?" as a reason, at least in my book.
