Vampire (Zendikar) Glamour Bard

Thinking about playing a Vampire Glamour Bard.
The group we play in, has never been too keen on dual classing because of never being able to be "optimal".
We usually start at level 3 anyway, that said...
If I was to consider dual classing, what you do?

You gave almost no information. Do you want to be primarily a caster, an archer, a melee. Do you want to add heals, AOE's, control etc....share some information

Would only want to dip 3 levels, thus being able to keep 9th level magic
