While Doc is unable to locate anything interesting, Shadow notices the sound of low humming coming form multiple directions. And the sound comes closer. Definitely the sound of something mechanical...

There are multiple counters, but no hiding place that covers you from all directions. But you can try your luck with nearby doors. Two show a picture of a human above them and are near the entrance.

The room behind the door with the male silhouette is tiled white with a basin. A door-less opening leads to a room with multiple doors and four strange machines / robots fastened to the walls:
Trayce has to duck low to get through the door, and then keep her head bowed a little once inside. The building...its condition and splendor have awed her into silence...but she can't keep her mouth shut on seeing the strange room they've blundered into.
"What are those? Why do they have arms?"
She prods at one of the things with her speartip.

Suddenly a hidden speaker activates and you hear an emotionless voice in a strange togue. Shadow realize that this is the language of the ancients, but he isn't well versed in its spoken form and unable to translate. Darius helps out:
"It said something about females not being allowed in this room. Perhaps some religious meaning?"
