What did you give for Christmas this year?

We sent each of my (closest) male cousins a pair of Sperry shoes.
Nice Sperry's are great!

On the more charitable side, we got some art supplies and some clothes for some kids through our church’s “Angel Tree” program. Each kid had listed a “Need” and a “Want”, which we covered, and Dad insisted we get each a decent (Texas) winter jacket, so we did.
Very kind of you. I spend volunteer time during November with Every Meal. This outfit takes charitable food donations and helps distribute to low income students at schools. Its shocking how many of them can go a weekend with a single meal every day.

Very kind of you.
Thanks!

The Angel Tree gifts are some of the ones we spend the most thought and effort on every year since our church started doing it. We look for people asking for things we understand well, so we know where, when & how to get them something of quality. That way, the gift won’t be something that seems more like an afterthought.

So like when we get kids sneakers, we’re looking for name brands- Vans, K Swiss, etc.- because we know generic tennies can be a target for mockery.

A few years ago, there was a woman looking for dishes. We got her a set of Mikasa (yes, dishwasher/microwave safe). Those should last a decade or more.
