As the Peryton flys down to attack Merri, Marrgash slams his staff down at the ground, a hint acid flickering from his mouth as his anger manifests. He worries that he can't see what's happening in the cage that Ilex took cover in, but turns to the immediate threat "Let's get you out of the skies" he mutters, but the creature pays him little mind.

”Out of my way you flying mongrels,” Ilex yells as she moves up to the cave opening and works her magic to make the perytons on the ledge easier to hit with her attacks. Once the perytons are spellbound, Ilex lets lose a burst of radiant energy pushing them closer to a third flying nearby. In a swift motion, Ilex continues her attack on the three perytons now bunched up. A storm cloud coalesces around them managing to pummel the two spellbound perytons with a thunderous barrage and sliding them through the air when suddenly a buzzing sound is heard coming from Ilex direction. From her staff, thousands of tiny insect fly towards the two perytons distracting them from the fight.
