She's only CR 3. One of her innate spells is charm person. They're all 1/day.

Yeah, that's a sirine. So unless they do a different update, I'm going to consider that stat block to be the more or less official update for the classic creature.

Cool. I'm not familiar with the sirine, so I wasn't sure. I just wanted to point out that it's presented in the book as a specific creature rather than a generic one.

Barghest, Champion, Conjurer, Enchanter, Evoker, Illusionist, Leucrotta, Martial Arts Adept, Necromancer, and Transmuter are from Volo's Guide to Monsters.

It's important to clarify: these are identical reprints; duplicate stat blocks.

This presumably means Volo will not be treated as "core" - any of its stat blocks used will not be simply referred to as, say, Champion in bold.
