D&D 5E Storm King's Thunder

FitzTheRuke

Legend
Aremus was surprised to find himself quivering in fear. He knew that Dragons could overwhelm even the bravest, but somehow he had expected himself to have met a dragon with his usual enthusiastic curiosity. He felt ashamed for a moment, and then suddenly he felt nothing. It was better, and somehow worse at the same time. He tried to listen and to see what was going on with the Dragon and the Giant, but he now held such a mild curiosity about it that he barely cared either way.

Dren felt the dragonfear flow through him, weakening his strength, sapping his will. But then he felt it pushed aside, his emotions calmed. He used the opportunity to center himself, ready himself for the fight with the dragon.

“Thank’ee,” he told Tranio.

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Ordrar feels shame "What is it with the wyrms that I don't stand so?" he thinks as he prepares for trouble

Layout: The party was in the middle of the hillside road leading back towards Grudd Haug, so there isn't much in terms of immediate cover. Off in either direction of the road would be some light forest to take cover in.

The Battle: Anyone that looks out again would now see this creature locked in battle with Harshnag. The Frost giant is currently using one oversized battle axe to keep dragon's jaws from closing on him, while the other swings at the body. This combat is about 50 feet away and going down the hill. The party and fog cloud is on higher ground currently. The dragon either hasn't noticed any of you yet, or doesn't feel you're worth any attention.

Grudd Haug: In the distance you can see Grudd Haug or rather what remains of it. The building is now a pile of charred rubble. Did the dragon do this?

Fistan

Peering out of the fog cloud Fistan takes stock what is happening. It was hard to tell which way the fight was going, but he was sure the giant could use a hand. Raiding his hands he bagan the incantation that would summon an explosion of fire, careful to aim to the side.

BOOM! the ground shook with noise as the dragon disappeared briefly in a ball of swirling plasma. Harshnag's eyebrows singing with the heat.

As Fistan disapeared back in the fog cloud he called out to his companions, "I may not be able to maintain the fog if the dragon flees."

Legend
Aremus moved along the road until he could see out of the fog. The Giant and the Dragon were locked in battle. Surely the Dragon would win if the Giant had no help. Somehow, none of this seemed to bother him. He was used to feeling excited and worried during any battle at all, but now he felt nothing. What had Tranio done to him?

He calmly drew his bow, out of reflex more than desire, and he fired two arrows at the dragon. He wasn't particularly concerned with whether it hit or not, so he slipped back into the fog for cover.

OOC: [roll0] for [roll1] and [roll2] for [roll3]
Edit: Wow. I didn't think he cared THAT little. He's not even trying!

Be happy if that doesn't kill the giant :)
