Insignificant Gods

IMHO gods of weekdays are already too abstract. I can't imagine anyone fighting for Tuesday to dominate over Wednesday, for example.

Dude, everybody's working for the Weekend. The rest of the week has to defend itself!

Well theres a few not sure if it fits your campaign or not some more details on it would be great....

The campaign selects from 1e (Saltmarsh, Slavelords) and 3e (Falcon's Hollow, Dungeon magazine, Freeport, and Burnt Offerings) and 3e as 1e (Goodman Games).

It's a one PC campaign, and she's set with running things for the goddess of Good Luck. These figures we're brainstorming are what's happening in the background, along with future allies and enemies.

She's already defeated the avatar devoted to cannibalism, allied her goddess with the goddess of Aranea, tangled with Dagonites, and encountered
the avatar of ill-fortune, who leads a miserable life that spreads the word about the importance of placating that god!

Future possible featured encounters include the avatar for the god of drugs, the Fey's champion, the Elder nigh-forgotten gods of those that preceded humanoids, and the avatar for the Goddess of Monstrous Births.

The whole Tuesday and Wedensday thing fighting is kind of funny, when you consider WHY Tuesday and Wednesday are called "Tuesday" (Tieu's Day) and "Wednesday" (Wotan's Day) :)

Beat me to it. Tieu = Tyr, Wotan = Odin.

Thursday = Thor's Day, Friday = Frey's day.

A real god from polynesian myth is

Tamumu the fly, god of buzzing - he became important when he helped locate the murdered body of a chiefs son (they followed buzzing until they found the bodyunder a woodpile)

That one would work, especially given its narrowness in terms of the animal kingdom and its association with death.

2.The God of Specific Tribe, a God who demands sacrifices losing popularity again because of civilisation or maybe just adventurers destroying his cults in the jungle, have him work his way into more high tech cities starting up sacrificial cults again wiht maybe a base in a sewer, a nice plot hook here.

His Avatar could look like anything a Rakasha, a tribal powerful human with blood coated arms, a Mind Flayer whatever fits your campaign.

3. God of storytelling/the passed on word, a God of passing on history through storytellings and memory rather than the new fangled books.

His Avatar would be an old wise man with a long beard in fairly crude trappings with an important staff that he can draw in the dirt with some rare creature on it, he could be overtaken by a student of his Art/Drawings/Paintings and Rumor

4. God of the Hunt Continuing with civilisation the increase in domesticated animals and crops rotations, will significantly lower this gods importance

Avatar a Lean dangerous hunter armed with spear and bow, but no matter how much he rails against the rotund docile form of the God of domestication it does him no good

Well theres a few not sure if it fits your campaign or not some more details on it would be great, plus I don't see too much of a problem with the PC's worshipping one of these gods particularly the god of the hunt, maybe a goal would be preserve natural forests and the hunt either with the Kings law or as a religious festival/celebration.

These could work!
