The I'm not jealous of Gen Con attendees AT ALL thread

I went to GenCon last year but didn't have much interest this year. Maybe it's my lack of interest in 4E, I don't know.

I am leaving for London in a week for 10 days so that might be tempering my interest in GenCon.

Totally non jealous.

I get to be a chaperone to my 4-year old's summer preschool field trip to a mini golf course. If I get home early enough from work tonight I'll go running again in the state park while the weather is in the 70's. And I have ice cream in the freezer.

I, for example, will be re-organizing my gaming bookshelf by publication date. I await the execution of this activity with great anticipation and I'm sure it will be much more fun than gaming with thousands of people and chatting with industry developers.

I'm jealous. This is the first Gen Con I'll miss since my wife and I first went in 2000.

But, we're going on vacation for our 10th anniversary (to Seattle and the coast, actually!). So I'm still happy.

And we'll definitely be back next year!
