Sarcasm aside, I am not one litlle iota jealous.

Sure, I'll miss it this year, but the for me the fun of my last two Cons came out of all the deals I managed to take advantage of and playing in the EnWorld pick up games. Seriously, thats why I go to GenCon, to hang out and game with my fellow EnWorlders.

I'm getting enough online gaming right now to keep me happy and a recent winfall will have me coming into a heap of books. So I'm good.

God, it's been years since I've been to GenCon.

Can't say I'm really jealous, in all honesty. Someone's gotta hold the fort back here

Seriously, for someone in the UK, I can't get too jealous of you guys. Not this year. Maybe in a few years time when I'm debt free and have a better job, maybe then.

I've never been to GenCon, and I'm not likely to have the chance to go any time soon. Therefore, I'm not that jealous of those going. I'd like to go "sometime," eventually, but right now I don't have the resources. I must concentrate on other things including the night classes I'll be taking in September.

But I also have a ton of work to do on RDP supplements for Reign of Discordia and Interface Zero...

And my dog needs a bath.

Stupid Gencon get to gotoers! I've never been to Gencon, and I've always wanted to. I went to origins once back in 96. That was fun. And even had an adventure called Whale for Call of Cuthulu... (I was 18 how funny do YOU think seeing Whale CoC in the event book was???)

Even ran some fun pickup games there...

Went to a few local cons.. but NEVER GENCON!

I want to go to gencon. And wouldn't you know just when I move to SF they nuke Gencon LA.

I'm actually there...um I mean here...right now. Highlights:

1.) Casting of the new D&D Weekly TV Drama "Pathfinders", by Joss Whedon.
2.) Keynote by Jon Irenicus on immortaity with guest Gary Gygax
3.) DDI playable demos of GameTable, MMORPG, and Turn Based Single Player.
4.) The Olympic Committee's demo of how D&D will be incorporated.
5.) LARPing with Oprah, Obama, Will Smith, Christian Bale, and Miley Cyrus (who has a real knack for it).
6.) 3d color printers (Character Visualizer compatible), DDI lifetime membership, entire 3.x library, and errated 4e books as swag.
7.) The unveiling of 5e (for release in 2018), it's 3.x, they just wanted to let the sides take a turn on the other side of the fence.
8.) The waterslides...hey I like waterslides what can I say?
