agreed, they look distinctively dwarfy and not ugly, the rounded face with pretty features works well.

As much as I like the makeover dwarf women have gotten in 4e on a personal level, I think that when the designers say they wanted to make dwarf women "prettier", I think their main goal was simply to get rid of the idea that dwarf women have beards and all the jokes that go along with it. Whether or not they appeal to male gamers on a sexual level is somewhat beside the point. I don't think many female gamers want to play a bearded lady.

Exactly, they wanted to make them playable, not necessarily sexy.

So PHB II will not have psionics? I find that astonishing as next year's setting, Eberron, sports more psionics than most other stuff.

Let me put on my Hat of Prognostication and suggest that psionics will hit in 2010...along with a 4e Dark Sun Campaign Setting.

This one excites me:

A return to the boxed sets of old? They didn't do any for 3rd edition. I thought this was because that kind of thing was uneconomical now. They're really getting quite ambitious with 4th edition. It's cool that it says they're including tokens. That's something people have been clamoring for for some time.


I want to know about E3 though. I guess it's coming out later than next August. I'm really hoping it will culminate in a battle with Orcus. Judging from the titles of E1 (Death's Reach) and E2 (Kingdom of the Ghouls), I might very well get my wish. Sounds like PCs might have to fight Doresain first then Orcus.

I think even I will buy this. Maps? Mini's too? Thats enough to get me to buy it, even without my being 4E. I am betting it will be tokens though. Only way to give us enough giants for the various encounters. So I probably won't buy this, if thats the case.

Still, I will be keeping my eyes and ears open about this until I know for sure.

It comes with tokens not minis. Minis would be awesome but would drive the cost up and make it unprofitable, I'm sure.
