References to Barbarian playtest vanished?

The Barbarian is still bouncing back between design and editing and needed more time before it was ready for prime time.

Sorry, it will be ready for Oct.
Thanks for saying something, Scott. THat means a lot.

Also, it's nice to see you on the boards. Glad they let you out of your dunge- er, office.

Cool; I look forward to it, and thanks for the heads up. I'll most likely subscribing either way.

Also, I retract [most of] my 'sneaking suspicions'. ;)

Next time you make an article vanish, make it something less burly and obvious than a barbarian . . . you could preview a shadow-origin theif-type class, then when all references to the article disappear, you could later explain that it was a feature!

Also, I want to apologize if I offended anyone or made light of their opinions; I was just expressing my views forcefully :)

My own personal opinion is that the "internet fans" are mad.

Some are mad about the cancellation of Draogn and Dungeon print. And maybe always will be. I'm not quite one of them but I'm not a huge fan of the unprinter friendly PDFs either.

Some are mad about the whole fludded DDI thing.

Some are made at the third party license.

Some are mad at 4th ed.

Whenever WoTC does something even slightly wrong... well, it's easy to kick the giant. He's hard to miss.

Wow. I can't believe you people.

The author probably just didn't get it in on time, or the art was delayed, or one of a million other reasonable explanations. They don't have to e-mail you personally to explain every business decision.

I really am disgusted at the unwarranted and unhealthy sense of entitlement in this thread. I mean that: actual disgust.

Ugh.

Thanks for the heads up Scott. Just as I expected.

But, it's a darn boring reason for the delay.

Couldn't there have been a small fire in the desk of the designer, with odd bits of rubber wire-casing and a Mountain Dew spill as forensic evidence pointing toward foul-play? Maybe an infiltration by a gnome beguiler/firestarter because he wasn't getting the cool preview write-up this time around?

Or maybe that the barbarian's writer/editor was secretly captured and replaced by an automaton or a homunculus sent by a rival, disgruntled writer/editor to damage his EnWorld cred?

Oh come on, we all know that Scott_Rouse explanation is a cover up. We all know the real reason why it was withdrawn.

The real story is a terrifying horrific secret not meant for the general public. It is a saga including death defying traps, pits filled with Drizzt fanboys, DnD cosplay and an unhealthy amount of c4.

Yeah, they don't have to email me personally but an explanation would be nice when they announced it so much and 'worked up the crowd' so to speak. Now that we have an explanation, I'm satisfied (although I still think the delay should have been admitted and announced in the latest DDI update).

Or maybe a cartoon Troll got on his computer and grumble, grumble, grumbled it up.;)
