24 - 4e style (closed)

It looks like everyone bar me has the AV. Never mind I will manage somehow.

But can someone enlighten me about magic ranged weapons?

If I were to take a level 7 Vicious dagger I would get +2 to hit - I presume that is melee or ranged? But what about Vicious Shuriken? Would they be the same?

Forgot about the multiclass, it didn't seemed good enough to me, so I stick to a pure swordmage.

Nathan is a human working for a city institution, most likely the one asking for the anti-smuggling mission. He is often used as a bodyguard (if he survived, he will become a Coronal Guard for sure), but on occasion, he is affected as a support cast to a mission. Due to his lack of social touch, he is rarely the leading character.

I'm not sure I understand the question.

+2 weapon = +2 to hit and damage whenever you attack with it, be it melee, ranged or any power with the weapon keyword. I don't particularly recommend throwing your +2 dagger when it's your most powerful weapon, though. ;)

I think you get 5 enchanted shuriken for the same price as one normal enchanted weapon, though.

I'm not sure I understood it myself:erm:. Anyway I've read a bit more and I now see that magical thrown weapons return to the hand (I remember the good old Dwarven Throwing Axe with pleasure:))

So that solves my problems - I think. So herewith is Garrick to be checked out. I'm not used to working out higher level characters so I would appreciate input.

Garrick started life in the gutter. He never knew who his parents were, nor did he have any other family except for the other street kids. Growing up his size was both a blessing and a curse. He could hide in the smallest of spaces and he could sneak into places where no one expected anyone to be able to enter. He became respected as a adept wielder of dagger and shuriken and even more so as a purveyor of sudden death.

But there came a time when everywhere he went he found death; Death - with a capital D. Friends died needlessly; illness and disease were rife; too often he was hired to deliver death with his own hands. Although never a religious person, he began to feel the presence of someone, perhaps Death personified, at his shoulder.
The more he thought upon it the more he realised that it was probably the Dark Queen herself who was twisting his arm, trying to move him in her direction, not his.

Since then his path has lain less in the world of the rogue and more on the path of the paladin. Death still follows him but now they are as two sides of a coin. In fact he now spends more time preventing death than he ever did causing it - isn’t life strange?

Yes, that extra strength point! It almost got away from me. I had upped Dex and Cha until I realised the old Paladin MAD problem. Soldier of the Faith requires 13 in Str and Cha! What a bore!

Pretty good. And yay! A family to put in danger at some point! (probably not day 1, though).

A thought, though : Far from me to encourage people to min/max, but you do realize that the Orb of Imposition keys of wisdom, right? With the current stats and choice of powers, you'd be better of with the staff of defense.

The family background was pretty much a trope of the 24 type show, someone had to have one. REgarding the orb, yeah I know it's better that way, but the orb fit the character better. All the powers chosen fit the control wizard without needing Wis, only the orb does. I figure one half of the orb power lost for flavor isn't that bad.
