I have it printed but I still haven't had time for more than a skim.... Between retail hours this year and my wife and I playing Animal Crossing for the Wii, everything else is a close second. :D

Another solid release.

WoTC inability to put some classic monsters in their core books is Goodman and Blackdirge's gain.

Thanks.

The first three Critter Caches do focus primarily on the missing elements from the Monster Manual; however, upcoming releases will attempt to expand on what's already there. For instance, I just finished writing a Critter Cache based on the fey, and while it does feature some missing classic monsters, like spriggans, it also features some brand new stuff, like the sidhe and different types of nymphs based on the original Greek mythology.

As promised, bought this one and will buy every critter cache until I'm no longer happy (which i dont see happening) simply waaaay too good of a value for the money. Thanks Blackdirge for another quality product. I particularly like lower level monsters so this book's mix was particularly useful for me.

Very nice!

I notice that this follows WotC's precedent for carrying capacity of mounts, which is perfectly understandable.

Any thoughts about an optional rule to bring them into some attempt at verisimilitude? Would it be out of line just to apply the multipliers from 3rd edition for larger/smaller bipeds and quadrupeds?

Since I spent a couple of days at one point to look into how much elephants and camels actually can carry, the Adventurer's Vault figures make my brain throb.

I've got no complaints with that. :)

You can count on a good mix of levels for each installment, as I want the product to be useful for DMs running games at various levels.

What would you like to see in upcoming Critter Caches? What do you think the 4E game is still missing, monster-wise?

Thanks
