The trademark thing is not as sexy as you all think. Nothing being sold, no impending major license, just somewhat routine legal stuff.

Jet lag still has a grip on me so I've been up since 4am. The upside of this is I think I am done with the FAQ and will submit today. SRD is reviewed and I just need to type up my notes for the changes as no one, but me, can read my handwriting.

Thanks, Scott. People really appreciate updates like this. Getting left in the dark is what causes all of the rumors and torches and pitchforks when conclusions are jumped to.

It would appear not. From what I have read in the posts of Scott Rouse he seems to be making some adjustments to the SRD that will get used with the GSL but no changes to the GSL itself. I welcome links to anything that says more than this, please.

I'm not sure if they will fix everything but Scott did mention one big problem that is supposed to be solved. The new license is supposed to have a termination clause that can be used by either party so that the signatory is no longer forever bound by a license that can change at will. It will likely be like credit card changes where you can opt to terminate and still be bound by the current license. Probably still no selling OGL, no publishing 4E stuff, but not bound by any new GSL clauses or changes. This at least allows a company to know, understand, and possibly contingency plan for a worst case scenario (Right now the bound forever and change at will leaves things too wide open).
