Not sure what to think of this, but I do like Jim Caviezel so I'll check it out at some point. Looks like a fairly interesting premise too and Perlman is always a plus.

That has a fair amount of talent but so did In the Name of the King, so maybe we shouldn't get our hopes up.

Yes, but DS:ItNotK was also a Ewe Boll film. Which pretty much automatically cancels out any talent attached to it. Also while I like Jason Statham quite a bit, the talent in Outlander does seem to be a significant notch above that in DS.

:hmm: Damn, limited release. I'd go see it in the theater if it would not be a long drive to an overpriced cinema. Too far a drive for a movie that might be crap since they probably will be using crappy CG when practical effects would have looked much better.

i felt Statham & Perlman did admirable work all things considered. Indeed had the entire movie just been Statham and Perlman kicking ass against the knock-off orcs, the movie would have been just fine. Reynolds and Rhys-Davies did fine for "It's a Paycheck" level work.

Matthew Lillard seemed to develop his role well, shame the character seems like he is supposed to be obnoxious and unlikable. I'll compare Ray Liotta's work in ItNotK to Jeremy Iron's work in the 1st D&D movie.
