[Lets choose] the ENworld un-word of 2008

You know, i actually have no idea if something like that even exists beyond Germany, but over here a jury decides every year which word has earned the title Unwort / un-word / non-word etc.

Well, what are the criteria? The word:
- has been used far too much
- in a way that was "sachlich grob unangemessen" aka "i don´t think that this word means what you think it means"
- really got on your nerve because it became so damn ubiquitous.

We can have a proper poll later on, now lets just nominate words and say why.

I nominate... "realistic" - because people used it interchangeably for game realities, novel realities, film realities and, well "real" realities - sometimes in the same sentence.



Oh and the German un-word 2008 was "notleidende Banken" / "suffering banks".

"Sandbox" might be another one.

I am not sure, but "Fun" might also deserve its place, or was that more a part of the 2007 previews for 4E?

"Gish, Mob, Toon" are not used that often to deserve this place...
