This is my one and only account. I usually try to stick with something like Ares or at least something with "Ares" in it when I'm on the web.

What exactly would be the advantage of having multiple accounts? Wouldn't admins be able to tell who it was based on their IP address or some such thing?

They can, if
1) You always have the same IP. (Some providers change IP adresses, you might be online from multiple locations)
2) They bother to do so. The system doesn't do it automatically. (And it can be misleading, since there might be two posters on the same machine - families for example.)

You might have one for fun, an alt account for a specific kind of post or when you post from home.
