Combat Challenge errata?

I tried finding this on the Wizards site, but it's down at the moment and I need an answer somewhat soon.

I was told that the fighter's Combat Challenge (marking anyone you hit/miss) was recently errata'd to only allow ONE mark per round. Is that actually true? The guy who told me tends to... not fully understand rules he reads, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was mistaken.

Thanks.

Specificly, the -marking- from Combat Challenge can happen -every time- you attack anyone, as you wish.

However, the free attack you get can only be once per turn, as it takes up your immediate action.

as I understand it the fighter can choose to apply the mark to any creature it attacks (not everything it hits or misses). An attack is classed as you making an attack roll, so if we take the cleave power as an example the primary target can be marked on a hit or miss but the secondary target that receives that automatic STR damage cannot be marked.

This is the latest update I have:

Combat Challenge [Revision]
Player’s Handbook, page 76
In the second paragraph, replace “a marked enemy that is adjacent to you shifts or makes an attack” with “an enemy marked by you is adjacent to you and shifts or makes an attack.”

Edit: That's all. Everything else should work as written in your PHB. It's possible they're confusing it with some Striker class features (I forget which) which were clarified to once per round.
