Well, Epic V should be able to kill Xykon in ten minutes. Then again, all those paladin spirits should have been able to kill him and...

[sblock]That old Wizard (Dorukon?) should have easily killed him after gating in a celestial army. And the elf druid woman basically let him live...[/sblock]

So yeah. Not gonna happen. Xykon has the "luck" of a Mary Sue, he cannot lose.

V is stupid insofar as he doesn't recognize the dramatic conventions that control his world and which indicate that Xykon won't die just yet...

...but if it were the real world, a bold "attack now that you have the highest level of power you'll ever attain" would have indeed been the wisest possible move. As he said, every minute passing he's indebting himself even more to demons who'll be using his power for evil. Better do as much good as possible in that time.
