Why would I when the site offers a service to let me know? That's like saying why get a catalog when I can just visit the store and see everything. :p

Even when I'm busy, I check my e-mail. Not so with my gaming sites, well because I'm busy. So, with no notice, I end up checking here when I get around to it instead of coming here first because there might be replies needed. I don't spam the User Control Panel 'just in case'.

The issue, however, is that emailing hasn't every really worked (its been flakey since I joined four years ago). UCP is the only reliable way to check.

Too bad the RSS is only site based and not user-based. Now *that* would be useful.

The e-mail has always worked for me, at least until a little bit ago. If UCP is the only reliable way to find post, that means I'll be on less and respond MUCH slower to posts. that's just the way it is.

As far as RSS, I've never found much use for them. They never seem to tell me what I want, just giving me EVERY new post. [site based]
